In this video, I will show you how to make elegant paper lamp. The name 'ogee' is derived from the curve that is mixed with concave and convex forms. To DIY this lampshade, you will need to first prepare 6 copies of squares. This can be easily achieved by making one first and use that as a mould for the rest 5. With tracing paper, the A3 size will give an immediate 42 cm in width. All you need to do is cut to 18 cm in length.
This lamp stands about 33 cm tall and 25 cm wide. Its form somewhat resembles my previously made paper lamp/lanterns:
Cathedral light ( • DIY paper lamp/lantern... )
Eternal flame ( • DIY lamp (Eternal flam... ).
Please use the low energy LED light bulb. In this video, I used 5W LED, with emits the light with a 40W capacity.

Hi there... watercolor papers were used for the majority of the lamp projects because the watercolor paper is flexible and easy to cut and fold. It also provides rigidity and support while allows perfect light penetration. They are also cheap to buy/obtain. The only thing to be careful is- always use low energy light globe (
@@EzyCraft You say 'Watercolor Paper' is cheap & easy to obtain, but it's really expensive buying it retail in UK. Can you use any other card?

Hi Maria it is a pendant lamp, so you will have a pendant light set to make this lamp. If you decide that the lamp is a permanent fixture to the ceiling, you will need to install the light switch on the wall.

Para fazer este projeto, necessitara de 6 copias de papel quadrado. Corte um primeiro e depois o use de molde para os outros 5. Com papel A3, dará um quadrado de 42x42 cm. Apenas necessita cortar 18 cm do comprimento. O projeto fica com 33cm de altura e 25 de largura. Sua forma lembra de o ultimo que fiz.

which Material Use?
I only want to use a4 paper, so I decided to shrink every measurement by about 90 percent. I hope this still works out in the end.
My biggest square is now 21x21 cm.
