Man Utd fans like to think their club is in the same category as Real Madrid. Real changed managers more than Man Utd in the last decade. Also if a Real manager finished 8th Real fans wouldn't be arguing over whether the manager should be sacked. If you want to be a big club, you have to have big club standards and do big club things.

I'm sorry but Real Madrid rarely gamble with their hirings and are perfect in their planning on matters transfers. They keep winning thus never losing the attractiveness . So does hiring McKenna or pochettihno look like ruthlessness to you?
Well it's true ruthlessness is required but will that be extended to the area that matters the most which is the players? Or are you gonna be here crying over the same thing after 18 months of not winning anything?
Man Utd are in this position because of bad recruitment. So many names that failed to make an impact like Di Maria, Pogba, Lukaku,Harry Maguire, Martial and Anthony to name but a few. Woodward was to blame for all those transfers.
Ten Hag has had to deal with all the deadwood and get the best out of them. It looks like Ten Hag is the fall guy because Man Utd failed to move these players on. Ten Hag will only be successful at Man Utd once these players have departed.
Ten Hag is not the entire problem; he’s part of it however. Now how much is his fault is debatable, but sticking with Rashford and Mctominay, poor sub choices, odd lineups, and his constant drivel on interviews about how well he thought the players played, is enough for me. He needs to go, right along with about 75% of those players.
If pep came to Manchester united would still take 4-5 transfer windows before he would have a team that would challenge for the league

I'm Ten Hag in but agree Tuchel is the best choice to go with if ETH is sacked. But maybe McKenna would help get rid of the deadwood players that Downed tools while he was there with Ole.
If Ten Hag does leave all the managers that are being lined up can only be temporary stop gaps because none of those that are in the frame will be successful at this club. I was feeling upbeat about next season but no more because all the potential replacement managers are nowhere near the level I would be expecting to take over from Ten Hag.

I am genuinely excited by the sporting project that lies ahead for Utd. I think this has to be our lowest point until modern times. I think with such great sporting minds being employed by the club, the future (on the pitch) is very bright.

I also don't expect Hoiland to start. When he has started, he is hardly in the game with no service and wastes energy presssing by himeself. If he starts against City it will be even less. I feel last 2 games is a indicator of what he build the team style to. Mostly likely come on let in the game where he has been effective.
I expect McTominay to play flse 9 and interchange with Bruno and drop back and pack the midfield when City have the ball. Will likely rely on long ball to Garnarcho and Rashford to exploit City and with McTominay making late runs into the box.
