How To Clean An Iron Plate When Burnt - The QUICK, CHEAP and EASY METHOD

- This video is a simple, but effective one.
It shows you how to clean a burnt iron the cheapest and quickest way.
It happens to everyone. Your iron is set too high and you run it over a piece of clothing that burns easily and now you have burn marks on your iron.
Like me, most people would try to scrap it off on the edge of the ironing board, or scrub it off with something abrasive, but that will only damage the ceramic coating - if your iron has one - on the sole plate so you should avoid doing.
It’s safer on you iron plate to use the method in this video than any abrasive method, and it will clean your iron bottom and make it look new again.

Works great. I had iron on max heat and left Tylenol pill on hot surface for too long. It actually removed some of the teflon coating. Would recommend dialling back the heat and wiping off the reside as soon as the pill melts
It worked beautifully on my burnt iron plate. Thank you for sharing
Amazing! It worked so well. I gripped the paracetamol in a pair of old tweezers because ovengloves are too bulky. Only thing is: if paracetamol can clean burns on irons so well, what on earth does it do when it's inside us ?🙄🙄
It worked like a charm. Mine is Philips ceramic plate ... did the wonders. Thank you so much 💓
Thank you for this video . Tried what not to remove the burnt residue , this is the only one that worked effortlessly & effectively .
Tried this today and I can honesty say it works brilliantly. I am actually amazed. Thank you for sharing.
Please tell what he's talking about. I dont understand what he's saying
Wow! This actually, honestly works!
I have never conmented before but this was amazing! Paracetamol! The wonder drug! ❤
Thank you so much for this video. Simple, quick and easy to understand, no waffling! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome, just awesome! 1 month old iron was just about to be binned till I found this video! Thank you kindly!
Absolutely amazing. I see others complained about the coating being removed, Im not sure why that would happen. I didnt use a very hot iron, just warmed it slightly and used a tweezer to hold the pill. Worked like a cham. I've even thrown irons out before because nothing I found worked. I used store bought cleaners, baking soda, vinegar, even resorted to oven cleaner. NOTHING worked like this, I dont know how to thank you. Science is wonderful 😊 I'm going to try this on other tough residues as well... soap scum?
I tried methods with toothpaste, vinegar and baking soda before without real results but this worked like a charm on stains on my iron that had been there for years! Thank you so much!
It works! Watch your fingers though, it does get very hot. My iron looks like new. Thanks for the share
Thanks for sharing! I haven't tried it yet but it looks simple enough to do
I just tried this with Panadol and it worked 😍 The Ceramic Coating/Surface wasn't affected at all. Thank you ❤🥰
Wish I'd known about this yesterday. It's incredible. Thanks for sharing.
Worked superbly ! Just make sure to wear a mask and that the room is well ventilated , it can get quite smoky if the iron plate is burnt in many places .
Was sceptical at first but it really works! Great method! Just need to make sure the iron is very hot otherwise paracetamol doesnt melt and can scratch your iron
I was so sceptical but this works!
Thx for sharing 👍🏼
Wow, that's amazing! Just did it and it's like magic 😊 Thank you so much for this video. 👏
I was very sceptical about this but it REALLY WORKS. Quick, easy and instant.
I never comment on RUclips but honestly this is gold! Worked wonders! I've seen so many people ruining their iron with salt, steel wool and so on🤦♂️ and this simple trick does it! 100%✓
Wish i'd saw this a few minutes ago! Just cleaned mine with super fine steel wool!!! 😩
This might legit be one of the best hacks I've saw in a long time.
It works wonderfully 10 out of 10. I did not listen to your advice of wearing gloves and burnt one finger a little.
Thanks for sharing.
Unbelievable! 😳 Simple and effective solution but a complicated task until you know ‘how to remove the burn marks’ … thank you.

Wow. Thank you
Worked a treat for me. I held the tablet with a tweezers.
It works thank you
Worked like a charm🎉
Amazing! It did remove some of the coating but I have been dealing with burnt fusible interfacing for two days and no other method has worked. Though having seen what this little pill can do to a burnt iron and ceramic coating, I won't be taking Tylenol anytime soon. 😂
Worked like a charm!!!
It worked. ❤ Thank you
Thank you sir! 🙏🙏
I love ds it's a eny type?
wow pep it really works !!!
Works great
Thankyou miraculous
Wool it rily works thank u
Does the job!
It works
Used Acetaminophen but it also removed the teflon on the iron any suggestions ???
Wow!
just tried and it works great,
finally found a painless use of paracetamol lol
lol. Great stuff. It's amazing how easy it is.
Can i use panadol extra
I will try this. Whats the science behind it ?
so now this product has been discontinued...what can be used in it's place?
I used a Tylenol. It did take of the burn marks, but it also took off the ceramic coating down to the metal plate. Not happly.
Credit where it’s due…it works!
This worked perfectly. But do take the advice and wear gloves or use something to hold the tablet - that iron plate gets awfully hot, trust me on that one. I just found out :) Ice cubes at the ready :)
thx mate 👍...it's working...nice voice 😅
True! I wonder how you could find this property of Paracetamol? You are certainly Not a Pharmacist 😂❤
Thank you it worked! I tried a few times but it works best if i leave the iron on medium heat. It took 4 tablets total to get the gunk off. Theres a slight brown stain remaining though.
tablet name
It worked too well and removed all the Teflon coating where I used it. Will buy a new ireon.
Fantastic, saved a divorce!
What 😂😂
I cannot believe the hours I've wasted trying baking soda and vinegar. Unreal.
Who pays for a new iron?
Not good at all!! I damaged my expensive nonstick iron plate by using this method. Not recommended 😡
This is BRILLIANT if you NEVER want to use your iron again. Takes everything off including the surface.
What is the name of the tablet u are using. You not speaking clear. Print so I can see what you are using
Paracetamol
