man how I miss the days of NBC gymnastics Fluff, made everything feel dramatic and epic. Now we always get the same intro with generic music before a broadcast.
four years later, these fluffs make me cry like a blubbering fool. it's so crazy to think 5/6 of that 2008 team are still going for it and are all trying to earn redemption in their own ways. but...with such a deep pool of amazing athletes and a 5 person team, only 1 or 2 of them will realistically make it. i'm gunning for them all so much. bring on 2012.

How does Nastia have more power than Shawn...or anyone really? And her beating Shawn is not always how it goes in the Olympics. Carly Patterson was power and she beat the ultimate graceful gymnast, Svetlana Khorkina. Andrea Radican was a power gymnast...not that graceful. Mary Lou Retton, Power gymnast. Tatiana Gutsu, power gymnast. If anything, Nastia DISproved what normally happens in the All Around.
I am glad that Bridget Sloan got the sixth spot. I think that even with a healthy Shayla Worley, Bridget deserved that spot based on her performance at trails and her consistency. No shade to Shayla, Jana, Ivana, and all other athletes vying for that spot. I just think that Bridget’s role as a consistent across all 4 event, humble team player was the most important factor that put her on the team.
I love the fluff! Too bad they really didn't do anything good in Beijing, they only did a couple, they usually do alot!. Hopefully NBC will do some goods ones for London 2012!
