The world is ruled by the 3 Getsu Brothers and they when to defeat the demon using the 3 Pulse Blades (Hadokens) that have been in the clan for generations. However, the brothers were defeated and only Fuma, the youngest, survived. He's on a quest to get his brothers stolen swords back, summon the spirits of his bros, and get revenge by slaying the demon. Thank you Wikipedia.

Excellent graphics, great character animation, lots of weapons, special feats, catchy music. Different types of combat perspective. The only problem is that it can be repetituve.

I'm a big fan of samurai. I love samurai games, movies, comics, stories & art. So it was nice to find here a new games with samurai. Seem's like a fun game too. It was pretty enjoyable to watch this video. Thanks for showing this game to us & playing it completely.
This came out in the 80s here in the Philippines. Played it in Super Famicom, really spooked playing it and didn't understand the game since the language and text was in Japanese. A remake for PC, PS4 or PS5 version would be awesome.
Play this and Konami Wai Wai World when I was like grade 5, has to buy a strategy guide I don't understand a word of Japanese. But it had such good time and good music too, Konami made so many great games back in the days

I admit I do not know much about traditional japanese music, tempos etc. or limitations of the sound chip when it is emulating them but the first stage theme sounds very much like the Legend of Kage game theme.
tomlion0116 an old konami famicon game made right after konami made the first castlevaniia, its badass, unfortunately it was only in japan, so you would have to pirate an english rom hack to play it like its being played here

Hard limit of 5 games per year. Konami established Ultra as a way to sidestep this limitaiton, as Konami of Japan was releasing as many as ten games a year. Ultra was soon making licensed games in addition to releasing some Konami titles.
The similarities are evident but there is no confirmed story about. Probably both games has been made by using the same engine, but that’s only my opinion.

Also, if you buy the Early Access, they're legally giving you the original NES/Famicom game. I dunno if it's translated or not though, still no info about it.
The thing to remember is that younger gamers may not remember nor have been born before relatively obscure 8-bit titles, but that don’t mean they’re unable to acknowledge or appreciate the titles themselves if not only their inclusions or cameos in future projects like HoD or SP. I was 2 when Sonic and Kirby debuted, but I’m no less of a fanatic of either. :3

I'm really blown away by how advanced this game is for the NES. This could have been a huge hit if they brought it to the States.

This game reminds me somewhat of Kenseiden on the Sega Master System- lone samurai fighting demons situation.
I wonder why Konami didn't make a sequel of this game? It's one of their best games along with Castlevania, Gradius and their other titles.

TMNT has sounds effects from this game, if anything. It's from 1987. ^^ Not surprising, since both games were made by the same company, after all.
