Tried it today. I made some slight modifications, i reduced the sugar to 175 grams, and increase the milk to 6 tablespoons. It came out great, love it!

instead of using 250ml butter i used 200ml and topped up the rest with milk so , instead of 50ml milk i used 100ml cause my mum gets funny about me using all the butter for cake and it still came out great. I also added desiccated coconut. This is actually the best butter cake ive ever made , thank you soo much

It’s super moist and tastes sooo delicious. I am in love. I did alter the recipe by doubling it and also using almond essence instead of vanilla and using orange juice instead of milk. I did add a little cinnamon powder to give it a kick. Overall 10/10 I highly recommend this recipe.

I did 2 alterations.. 1. I reduced the quantity of fat.. (150g butter+ 50g oil) . I've used 200g fats in total. 2. I've added cocoa powder to ¼ of the recipe and made marble cake. I made this cake today. Exactly step by step. Then, i steam instead of bake. Did for 50mins. Then i take it out of steamer and let cool in room temperature. It turns out soft, fluffy, moist and rich! Even when it has cool off (room temperature) these qualities remain! 🤩 Wow am impressed. First time i bake a cake and it risen to perfection. Served to my family and it finishes in a blink! Changes I made (i use what's readily in my kitchen hehe) 1. Salted Butter (instead of unsalted) 2. Then, still put salt following the recipe. I used pink salt. 3. Used self-raising flour 4. Yet, still put baking-soda following the recipe (eventho i use self-raising flour). 5. Used chilled milk straight from the fridge (instead of room temp). [Edit] 6. Used Icing Sugar instead Caster Sugar. *I would suggest to reduce this a bit cuz a bit sweet to my liking but it was just nice to anybody else. [Edit] 7. My vanilla-butter cake wasn't as aromatic. I would recommend use a concentrated high quality Vanilla essence. Still came out perfect. Thanks for such a recipe that's easy, and clear to follow. YES, I AGREE, THIS IS THE BEST RECIPE FOR BUTTER CAKE!! I'm saving this as fave! 🥰

I use your recipe and it turn out OK and i change it a little instead of four spoon of milk I use nine spoon and from the mix of butter to the baking of the cake was make by hand and no oven I use a stove and it burn a little apart from that everything was great and conceded it my first time baking cake or anything to do with baking am so happy that people love it so thank you and I will doing more baking in the future

hi there! guess what i love this recipe so much that I make it so often now , I even make my " own amendments " to this recipe. on Saturday , my 3 1/2 yr old nephew wanted to bake with his Attai [Me] ,so we both bake this cake . i made it two single cakes & I made vanilla icing as well. The secret ingredient is "SELF RAISING FLOUR" , Baking time was faster than AP flour. Now, I will only use S/R flour to make this cake however i cut the sugar ,

I have followed sooo many cake receipes over the years and they never turned out right. Although I only had 3 eggs and not 4 it still came out stunning and everyone loveeeddd it. I added a little of lemon zest into the mix for added flavour.

Tried this recipe with self raising flour, powder and icing sugar instead of what u mention in the recipe. Also a secret - a dash of yellow food colouring . Cake tastes divine even my visitors enjoyed it !!!

hi there! guess what i love this recipe so much that I make it so often now , I even make my " own amendments " to this recipe.
on Saturday , my 3 1/2 yr old nephew wanted to bake with his Attai [Me] ,so we both bake this cake . i made it two single cakes & I made vanilla icing as well. The secret ingredient is "SELF RAISING FLOUR" , Baking time was faster than AP flour. Now, I will only use S/R flour to make this cake however i cut the sugar ,
