Oh! What a show - prime Transfer. With big band! So great to hear these Basie Band parts live. TMT, you are the best.

Really interesting how the mixing of the voices changed up here and there and really revealed the structure (however unintentionally) and complexity of the arrangements

This is fantastic. A concert I have never seen online before with a great songlist. I really appreciate you folk posting this on youtube. Many thanks.

So talented and what a wonderful life they all had. For me this was my introduction to the American Soundbook. I’m still learning. Thanks MT for developing my love for music.
When I was 3 or 4, my dad would play big band music and tried to teach me about the beat, the walking bass, the call and response. I was too young to understand. In my teenage years, I got it and shared MT with him. Something we shared until he passed in his 80’s.
I’ve seen MT all over the world, LA, Vegas, San Francisco, Oakland, Seattle, Chicago, New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong and Sydney. I wish I had taken my dad on those trips. I loved the shows that I saw at Disneyland in California, as did my mom and dad. They initially played on Main Street at Carnation Gardens, but as they became more contemporary they moved to a larger stage in Tomorrowland. This was in the late 70s and 80’s.

Blee Blop Blues was 🔥! I like how they changed it up at 9:04 - 9:09 from the original recording.

Tom "Bones" Malone of "Blues Brothers" fame sitting in the trombone section I do believe. Awesome concept, awesome concert. Never anyone better than MT.
