I APPRECIATE THE SUPPORT EVERYONE! Submissions are indeed closed due to overwhelming turnout. But I want to apologize for my lame messaging about the signup deadline. Many people began working on their house without signing up thinking they had until dawntrail, and then I pulled the rug out. that SUCKS and I'm sorry!!!
That said, this project has me pumped for more possibilities in the future. See you then!

I would love it if some of these were different types of venues with a bunch of players on the sides basically filling the ambience like laughing at the bar, a boss scolding their crew, I know that takes more planning but I hope some people do that haha

I'm so new to FF14 that I can't even come close to affording an apartment yet, so I probably won't be able to participate. But I'll love seeing how the final compilation turns out, and I'll go watch some of your other videos! The way you're doing this is really clever and easy to understand. I love this community and how there are so many collaborative projects like this.

I've yet to get into interior decorating, but this seems like a good excuse to finally furnish my apartment. I can see what I can do, even if I know furniture acquisition is gonna be a pain! I'm just in the midst of getting funny checkmarks on HW crafts, so my inventory is much too full at the moment.

Very cool idea. Will you be filming these on your lalafel character? I imagine building something to look good from lala pov height will require some different setups than something like roe or elezen height.
Yes I will be filming using my max height lalafell. My camera sits just on top of my head, so if you can imagine a max lalafell with a Nanamo minion sitting in top, that's about the correct height.
I wonder if making an alt max height lalafell for testing the build is out of the question 🤔

That's so cool. I have a medium FC house and an FC room on a character there I could probably do either of those and this might be the motivation I needed to decorate them.

@@mcstronghuge You know, I was thinking about it and while it might be more work, maybe you could also have one of the first rooms be something like a line of the housing npcs welcoming you, seeing as they bow by default if you walk close enough. Or maybe just some of the people you tend to play with; you could even make it a patreon thing if you had the time. (I'm not a patreon member though, sorry.)

Please don't dye the Alpine door! I need the default color to stay as is so my editing stays consistent.

I'm trying something similar, making a FFXIV video that fits the beat of the music, but I'm just starting out editing videos and I might end up asking for clips from other players, though I need to first figure out how this program works before I go out asking for clips.
What about rooms in FC houses? (As long as the FC house is public)
FC rooms are the same size as personal apartments, so I would say yes. BUT you would have to make sure that BOTH the FC house and your room are left unlocked for ease of access.

Late to the party, but I do have a question: Are wall decorations on the doorframe okay? Nothing that covers up the door or messes with anything, but something neat to give some visual flair on the sides.

Are stairs no go, if there's only one set of stairs and it ends with the door being level with the elevated floor? Or alternatively, having just the whole walk elevated, as long as the door is on the same level?

You've seriously been a huge inspiration for maintaining fun and whimsy in XIV during my decade playing and always being open to having fun with new people while being creative. Good question!! I am not against multiple submissions from the same person HOWEVER if the volume of responses becomes too great I will favor the better of the two so others can also have their spot

Sure won't! But there's other ways to deal with it
Oh denmo. If you want to plan with someone at all, I forget if you have to be on the same home server but if someone gives you access to edit mode because of the camera jitter, floor decorations would not interrupt the camera since you would just clip through it
I thought about this but it would mean making an alt for every server. It's tempting but not feasible

You mentioned we can use the round windows as long as they create a continuous surface. Could we build something higher? For example build a surface on with hingan sideboards? (I can float the door too if needed)
Also, we can submit more than one right? Because i already have like 5 ideas
For consistency's sake I'd like the door to remain unmoved, so a hingan sideboard floor is a no go. As for multiple submissions, I'm already recieving 70+ so it's becoming more likely that if you did submit multiple ideas, I'd still have to pick the best one and only one.

Dang I woulda loved to try and participate if I could afford to resub right now, currently in a sad cycle of resubbing to save my house at the bare minimum. ACTUALLY that's a pretty long submission time and I think my next house demo is mid june so I can maybe barely squeeze in an attempt.
