I'll retell my story. So, I play since 1979. I had a huge unplugged gap 2006-2016. I thought, I'm through with distortion forever. Then one day I see this Bullet for like a €100 and it's so much lighter than my HH Gibson LP Studio from 1991! I haven't touched the Gibson for 10 years just because of its weight. It's 5 kg, boys! So, I picked the Bullet, changed tuners, bridge bits, pickguard (got a fantastic 3-ply sparkly white from the Scottish dude) and put a pirate logo on the empty space behind the bridge. For 8 years since the day I took up on playing punk again and people listen and being very friendly about me coming back from acoustic instruments to my teenage roots. I'm 59 and a grandad. I got some vital inspiration from this channel and I appreciate your efforts.
That is a freaking awesome story, love it! Never say never and so glad you went back to the dirty noise 🤘 Thank you I'm so pleased the channel has inspired you!
I owned a bullet mustang before and I modded it with a toronado Bridge and HS config. Wonderful modding platform! I sold it because in the end I couldn't get on with the skinny 12 inch neck. Just recently I bought a sonic mustang in torino red. The neck on that one is a total different animal. Really comfy and thick! Modded it as well. Proper P90's, black p90 pickguard, proper pots and capacitor, half tele Bridge with brass saddles and tinted the neck with amber nitro. Really happy with it!!
I bought a Bullet Mustang as a modding platform and over the years I have improved it (more than necessary in fact) and it is now my #2 guitar. Great guitar for the money!!
Couldn’t agree more , picked one up for around the same price you paid, couldn’t believe how great it is! Set up well and the tone was brilliant! Playability is so comfortable!
Rob, doubt you’d remember me from back when you originally started making videos on this guitar, but they were the convincing factor on me saving up and buying one back in high school in 2017. Mine has the original rosewood fretboard with the original mustang head decal. It’s put up with so much moving around but still plays like brand new. I’ve used it so much over the years but I can say that I never needed to buy another electric after as this holds up way past its price point. This guitar should be at the top of any beginner’s list of first guitars
Of course I remember you, wow how time flies eh? Glad to hear you are still rocking the bullet Mustang and that backs up my point perfectly 💯👌 Thanks for dropping by 😎🎸
For what you Pay this is a Fantastic Guitar that can go toe to toe with a Les Paul for Peanuts like anything you have to feel it out for the sound you want with your amp etc. I got it to replace a Stolen Ibanez les paul - Yep Yes - Fantastic - LOVE IT - LOVE IT - might get another and POP some P90's in it. I will get a LP some time - but Wow what a FUN instrument.
@@theguitarmanifesto agree I have had both, but 1st guitar are you going to be gigging? 2nd hand k100 is a fair bit more. Though I loved mine for the efx loop and it deffo had more punch than the k50.
@peterlatham2407 I scored a cheap katana 100 a while back can't remember the price but it was dirt cheap 🤣 hopefully yes, I'm actively looking to start/join a band.
Incredibly fun guitar and an incredible value -- the kind of inexpensive guitar that reminds you how much fun it is to get together with your friends and make a lot of noise
I have one that I bought new in late 2017 and it's my grab and riff away guitar of choice. It's hanging on the wall next to my easy chair in the sunroom. It's covered in stickers now but looked just like this one. I think mine has a rosewood fingerboard though. Are you sure that one isn't rosewood?
I had a Black 71 Mustang with dimarzio single coils got stolen stolen from my flat in Cronulla in 1978. Never bought another one until the Bullet a few years ago. Put a set of Artist Bullbuckers in and its all good. Fun, ya know?
I have a 2nd hand 1998 Affinity Squier Strat. It's full-size thickness and a very good guitar. My son has a music degree and is a jazz bass player. He can really make my guitar sing; me, well, not so much. 😅. I really love the idea of shorter scale guitar. I'm in my mid-sixties and find the size and weight of full-size a bit too much, and who needs 5 pickup variations? 😂
Yep I liked the 12 second sustain on me old Les Paul - I reckon this has that and more - a few tweaks on some dials to get it - but JEEPERS - I think there is actually Quite a bit you can do with this?
I've tried one of these before with the big font on the headstock. Everything was fine to me except for the neck - it felt really flat to me so I ultimately didn't buy it
I got mine silly cheap about a year ago, sniped a second hand Competition Blue one, came with electronics transplanted from Paranormal Super Sonic. Swapped the pots and turned it HS. If I ever have to choose between selling a kidney and this guitar, I'd rather sell a kidney.

I don't have the red one
Yeah 👍

That's awesome, the later ones revised to 9.5" radius

That's cool, so fun to mod 👌

Awesome guitars 😁
Totally agree. So ergonomic and easy to play and sounds great.
Awesome guitars
Skunk stripes neck in a budget guitar is so freaking awesome. Looks premium with that....
Touch of class 👌

I just ordered the limited edition black HH from the Fender website. Theyre on sale here for Black Friday.
Cant wait to get it..
Agree! My fav cheap guitar. That plus 2nd hand Katana amp will take you a long way along your journey
Most definitely the katana 100 has a bit more punch for loud band use 👌

Just makes you want to play 💯🤘
Can't disagree, they're great guitars. I just realized you're in a new studio, looks great! Cheers!
I've been in this man cave for a couple of years now 😄
@@theguitarmanifesto I see said the blind man! I just got used to the workshop and never noticed. Guess it's true, humans make terrible witnesses!
🤣 to be fair it's much different to the man cave in my old house
My son's first guitar, then in lockdown, I picked it up too. Scale a little too short for my clumsy beginner fingers, I felt, but it’s excellent.
Be rude not to 🤣😜

That's awesome, yeah rosewood up till 2018 CITIES came into effect, changed to Indian Laurel after that.

Yes them 90s strats are Alder and very heavy.
Another reason to choose the bullet Mustang 👌💯 I recommend them 😎
Nice hh, I got me a 87 squier bullet bass made in Korea 😎👍 The only thing is I need to solder the pickups keep rocking like always. Rob 😁🎸
Sounds nice, solid guitars 🤘😎

The guitarist regretting modding is guitar. I'm going to touch mine.
that song he played its fire whats the name
It's a different take on my channel theme tune.
