Wow, that was great. Not just because I'm an AL fanboy. Yeah. Alpharius is someone you bring for the force multipliers, he's not a "death star" unlike some Primarchs. Loved the battle report ❤ My first thought when the video started and a unit was missing from the presentation... that is just such an Alpha Legion thing, unit whereabouts unknown 😅 If you can get your hands on him, it could be interesting to see a rematch between Fulgrim and Ferrus Manus some day!
Sadly that's not much of a contest in this edition; Forgebreaker is the single best melee weapon in the edition by a country mile; even Titan melee weapons aren't as good. The only Primarchs who can mathematically kill Ferrus are the Lion with the Wolf Blade (statistically it's a little better at killing 3++ models than the Lion Sword if you get Reaping Blow), Russ, and Horus. Everyone else dies pretty much without question, and even the aforementioned 3 aren't guaranteed to win.
Yeah we're trying to find a happy medium. I think we're getting closer to something that is detailed enough but not crazy long videos. Dice rolling for the key combats and pivot points. Thanks for the feedback.
Glad you liked it. It's from the Goonhammer mission packs. If you haven't checked them out already you should. They are a fun set of missions that add much needed variety to the available scenarios and are quite well though out.
Liked this. Like the new without rolls. Perhaps you could do primary vs primarch just or perhaps match some special chars like Sigismund vs Abbadon sv Lucius vs Sevatar just som show som abilities off? I know there are several different leagues of primarchs and that Dorn vs Larger probably is quite one-sided but still, could be fun to see.
We're looking to bring some more of the named characters to the videos. For our games, we don't script the confrontations. But it might be interesting for us to run some custom narrative scenarios that 'encourage' the named lore paired characters to meet.
Instant death doesn’t allow Feel no Pain rolls at all, not matter the STR of the attack… Turn 2 would’ve taken out the Sargent of the attack squad…. Please Re read the Feel no Pain special rule in the core rulebook.
You are correct. Thanks for pointing that out. Not used to having Primarch's on the Battlefield and we got swept up in the rush of things. Will remember that for next time. We usually see ID from Powerfists and TH's and we apply it then.
Good report. Thanks guys. Yep, I had a bad rolling day myself yesterday. Sometimes it do be that way.
Happens to the best of us!
@@fareastwargaming Almost like we have no control over it. But I know better. I didn't pray to the God Emperor hard enough.

Jason has Ferrus Manus in progress!

Thank you
Those Alpha Legion Contemptors are gorgeous.
Unique match up, enjoyed the replay. I did like the format of not showing to much dice rolling but replaced with a great narrative.

I was just typing about Alpharius precision attacks when you spotted it 😂 that EC chaplain was absolutely heroic
Yeah, it probably would have made the difference. But we 'play our mistakes' at FEW and own up to them when we spot it.
Great report thanks team! Was this mission from one of the books or a home-brewed one?
