I like this song but I wish they had one more instrument to fill out the sound. The obvious choice would be bass since the guitar is playing essentially a bass part here. I think it's distracting her from the singing, and vice versa.
There's a fine tradition of no bass garage rock, Cramps, White Stripes, YYYs, for example. That said, I do see they have added a bass player on recent European dates.
Now out as their new single. An excellent choice.
