This was from 1940 or so, not 1934, the year after the movie release. One of my favorite movies. Anything with Ginger Rogers is good, but this one is particularly good. David Niven was also perfect in his role.
That's what it says in the description. The name of the playlist this episode is in is "Lux Radio Theatre (1934)" referring to when the series started.
I'm back again. It is Wednesday the 2nd of November 2022 @5.02 pm in Ireland 💚🇮🇪❤️ now. It is cold,❄️ stormy 🌨️ & wet we are known, for getting far too much precipitation ☔ here! Friday 31 March @ 10,37am Greetings from Mount Eliza Australia (actually it's just a large hill but murderous on the knees if one tries to cycle it) - many years ago we enjoyed a fabulous holiday in Donegal - hope to get back there and see more of your beautiful country ,,, the people ain't bad either 😂😂🇦🇺 🇮🇹 🇬🇧 (where we live and where we were born). 💕💕💕
PEOPLE WHO CRITICISE THESE RADIO SHOWS SHOULD ENDEAVOUR TO FIND THE MOVIES, PARTICULARLY WHERE MR BELVEDERE, PLAYED BY CLIFTON WEBB WHO WAS WELL CHOSEN FOR THE PART, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE BOY TODDLER WAS MISBEHAVING AT BREAKFAST AND MR BELVEDERE TIPPED THE CEREAL BOWL ON THE BOYS HEAD. THAT BOY WAS WELL PLAYED, A GOOD LEARNER OBVIOUSLY. I LOVE ALL OF THEM, I WILL ENDEAVOUR TO FIND THE MOVIES. THANK YOU. I WOULD ADVISE PEOPLE TO FIND AND ENJOY THEM. BLESSINGS TO ALL, TRIXIE, 87, SOUTH AUSTRALI.A

There was also a remake of this film starring Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher. I prefer the 1940's version.
