And just like that… The United States has entered World War II
I’ve enjoyed listening to these programs in order. It’s been a thrill to listen from the great depression to the 40s, the loss of Amelia Earhart, hearing the changes in Hollywood and advertising. It makes me a little sad to know what this broadcast just a day after Pearl Harbor Means for the world

I have had this show in my collection for 30 years. I'm fascinated by the claim that it was thought that there were 50 unidentified planes off the west coast! Reminds me of the old 1979 movie "1941".

That explains why they began the broadcast with the Star Spangled Banner.

The air is cold with early, chill, dark nights...the time for ghost stories and fantasy! Perhaps two radio play ghost stories I’ve produced AND a brand new mystery listed on my channel “Claude Chabot Presents” right here on YT AND a radio fantasy comedy, “A Trip to the Moon” starring Joyce Randolph of The Honeymooners, which features Larry Robinson, who, as a child actor, actually worked with Orson Welles. Here’s the link: ruclips.net/video/Hex2ltykNTM/видео.html--Claud. If you don’t want to click the link just search “Claude Chabot presents” on RUclips.

thanks for this, I'm doing research into early radio plays in New Zealand. I appreciate being able to hear the introduction as well as the play itself.

I was just commenting on that. I knew it was coming! And yet, I didn’t want it to.

Love your Lux Shows, wondering, "The Postman always ring Twice", John Garfield, Lana Turner., are they available?

I'm not aware of Lux recreating that movie. There appears to be a version by Hollywood Sound Stage from January 24, 1952, but I don't have that one.
