Vengeance and justice are not the same thing. Vengeance is personal, justice is societal. If someone were to kill my wife and children, vengeance might dictate that I do the same to him. This would not be justice. Justice would be society arresting, jailing and/or executing him. The tricky part with Batman being a vigilante is that he lives in a society or justice has broken down. He isn't there for vengeance but rather to restore justice.
Bats absolutely can hurt you. First of all, there are vampire bats that drink blood. Fortunately they're not found in the US. Most other bats either eat insects or fruit. A scared bat will absolutely scratch you. A rabid bat will bite you. And bats carry many other diseases. They are thought to be the natural host of coronaviruses, Ebola, and Marburg, Nepah, and other fun diseases with 70 plus percent mortality rates. Seriously, stay away from bats.
That's a very modern definition of justice. Sounds like nonsense.
I think there is no such thing as justice, because society can't usurp the fact that someone was wronged. When society steps it it says, "you have wronged society, not the father and mother of this child, but all of us", it is attempting to usurp victimhood, when the actual reality is that saying that dilutes the crime or wrongdoing. Because society doesn't love the child. The child is a number, a faceless entity to society. Society only cares because it was disrupted, instead of truly wronged and victimized. True justice of heinous crimes would be society allowing the true victims to decide the punishment, be it execution or imprisonment. Hammurabi was right. An eye for an eye is the only true justice.
"This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid motive, it is an emotional response. No, not vengeance....punishment."
The Punisher
I think it's the one Rachel espouses in the film. Doesn't mean it's not nonsense.
Idealistic, perhaps.
17:03 I don't care what anybody says. Alfred's the coolest character in the trilogy.
The little kid is played by Jack Gleeson, who also played Joffrey, the sadistic boy king, in Game of Thrones. I'm guessing that is what you recognize him from.
Don't be afraid to pause if you wanna say something. It can help to make sure you don't miss anything.
pausing to say something is called for. hate it when reactors talk OVER important parts of the movie, as if it's just a game and they don't really care. Yes, Pause it to say things:)
@@highstimulation2497 There were a few times in the past where I actually complained in the comments on some random reaction channels about talking over important parts and everytime there would be a ton of people defending that reactor by saying: "It's a reactor channel and he's reacting, what do you expect?" Bruuh 😂 Because the only way to react to a movie is by constantly talking over it and missing half the stuff. There's no way to do it better, like I don't know, maybe pausing or waiting for the important part to pass and then talk a bit. 😅
Bro talked more than the dialogue in the whole movie
"Reaction video" confuse you?
Bro your talking through everything your trying to figure out.
Taking a bit too much bro. A bit maddening to watch. Maybe one comment when you use 3. And pausing when you talk would help too.
Sorry for the shade, love the channel though.
@Devin G You got all the subtle stuff in here was a delight to see. That end scene is everything between Gordon and Batman the care, the respect, the love and the friendship. Was a treat to see the Nolan Batman trilogy was far more grounded then what came before. If you ever want to see what many of US consider the best Batman please do all of the Batman the animated adventures, it was stellar. Have a lovely week Devin
Loved this reaction Dev!!! Loved how you got all excited and followed the story well. Can't wait for you to watch the rest bro 🤙🏽
Hey good video, i think you should really consider watching invincible, based on your tastes i think you could really like it
Oh Devin my boy you are back and good golly have I missed you.
You’re killing it man, keep up the good work.
I love the energy my guy, keep the content coming 👍
The next two are better than this one.
This is the best Nolan Batman movie in alot of opinions. Dark Knight is good, but the replacement chick is fugly. All 3 are good. This one tips the scales in my opinion. Opinions are like a holes,...we all have them and they all stink.
Seven Psychopaths (2012) love your reactions man
Yo bro I think you really found the rhythm with the editing its TIGHT, FAST and hits the mark. I hope you continue to grow. Great reaction.
Morgan Freeman got famous when he was 52, after more than two decades of acting and not getting noticed. That's why he's always seemed old on screen.
Fire movie with a fire reaction. One of the best series of 3 movies ever. Thanks for the great content, sir!!!
I'd appreciate it if you can watch anything directed by OR just starring Edward Burns.
My top 3 suggestions:
CONFIDENCE
SHE'S THE ONE
SIDEWALKS OF NEW YORK
Please dont forget BATMAN FOREVER which includes The RIDDLER (Played by: Jim carrey) & 2-FACE (Played by: Tommy Lee Jones) and i believe it even includes ROBIN, Batman's sidekick! Its always forgotten and overlooked by everyone because its from the 90s & not everyone knows about it! But i think its pretty good!
@DevinG9793 , you should do yourself a favor. And add the Animated film DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, the Frank Miller graphic novel origin of the Bayman's reinvigorated origin. Frank Millar's art and story changed Batman from the earlier era, and brought him literally kicking into the modern 80s era.
But, legit, some of the scenes in that art piece defined Batman. And, gave the world the concept of the unbreakable yet mortal hero that Batman fans appreciate.
The 90s show. BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES built off those themes and further enshrined the morality and stoicism of the Dark Knight.
Yo I recommend The Medallion 2003 next please 🙏🏻 react FYI 🦇 Batman was my # 1 hero& Dark knight Health ledger performance as joker 🎭 🔥 Pyro 🔥
That batmobil was powered V8 500 hp And when they film driving they have mercedes benz sport car. It have difficulties to follow because that batmobil was really fast
This movie is so much better as a film than the Dark Knight... ppl get so blinded by Ledgers performance, they gloss over the plot weakness & bloat of the 2nd movie.
Dark Knight is still fantastic & Heath Ledgers Joker is amazing, definitely watch it. It's just a bit bloated & it doesn't have as much of a focus on Batman.
Devin G. You look like you could be starting running back for the Dallas Cowboys. Why are you watching movies?!
I don’t know why they did it, but in the next movie, “The Dark Knight”, they replace the actor who plays “Rachel”. The new one is a sexed up showgirl, that loses her humbleness and her soft personality. It’s an absolute shame.
Not sure if that was the style that was written in, or how the new actor chose to play it…either way it’s a damn shame.
I think it might be beneficial, not to pause the movie, but to not talk as much over the only clips you choose to show on the RUclips version. Maybe when you’re talking, mute (by edit) the dialogue or not show the movie in the MiniPlayer.
I might also suggest talking just a bit less. You have great excitement and love that you’re exploring new movies, but maybe try to immerse yourself a bit more in the dialog and each moment.
Dont have to take the suggestion, but only trying to give input to make the experience a bit more enjoyable, for someone who wants to see you succeed!
I'm one of the first people watching this reaction
Greatly appreciated fam!!
The constructive critisism here is, the zoom is not problem at all but I don't feel the sidecam adds anything extra but confusion to the reaction. Big love though!
hurry up to ask your 375 questions, There is the big danger they´ll get answered five seconds later.
For the man who was wondering what spelunking was, I highly recommend the descent and as above so below.
I cant wait for you to do the dark knight bruh!
Awesome reaction of my favorite Batman movie!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Wish it would have been colder there so that I could have appropriately commented to you “Nice coat.”
I jus noticed the connection of the pearl necklace from the dark knight rises.
The laughter when Scarecrow gets straight up tazed in the face 🤣
The kid is King Joffery from Game of Thrones
Keep hustling champ.
Hitman bodyguard

I build houses up in Northern Canada 🇨🇦, loving your energy when Im watching shit after work as I eat dinner. 😂 Keep that positive energy flowing brother.
This one was my favorite of Nolan's three, the perfect introduction. That said the next movie is damned good too.
The Batmobile was actually a real design of a prototype hummer the military tested back then
Like your takes. From a different perspective. I'm retired Army living in Turkey. Cheers
I love how some of the bleeps are off and happen slightly after the curse word lmao 🤣 had me cracking up laughing
I remember this coming out when I was like 10, was obsessed with it...still a masterpiece, this and the 2nd at least
Gordon: I never said thank you
Batman: what’s that brotha ugh
good will hunting (1997)
Noted on both my friend
Batman is fighting him because if Superman should flip to being evil, who's is going to stop him. So what Batman is doing is showing Superman as powerful as you are, you can be beaten
Why are we seeing 2% of the movie.
