Nadal is such a hero. He could have rested and aimed for winning more slams but instead he just enjoys the process and attends the smaller competitions for the love of the game.

Paula wrote Roger because based on their head to head she thought Rafa would like dominating Roger, but Rafa gracefully added that "it was too difficult but still he liked"
It was definitely difficult for Rafa to win a Grand Slam (hard court & grass courts) against Roger. Only in last 5 years of Roger did he won more against roger federer. Peak Roger was difficult for everyone including Rafa, Novak both couldn't handle him.

@@sup9542 Yes, Fed did figure out the backhand part and adopted a flat one in 2017 which worked really well specially against Rafa. But he ran out of time because of his knee.
