@@masters.1000 You obviously hate Djokovic and thats why you are so persistant to make people think Federer despises Djokovic so everyone should, like if you are a close friend or relative of theirs, so you know what no else one knows. Truth is, they have respect for each other and are polite to each other, they may chat from time to time, but do they hang out, bond over personal insights etc, no. They may be closer and more friendly when they retire, but that is not possible now at the finish line of their careers. At the end of the day, people react positevely on their banter so it benefits to the sports promotion what atp contractualy obliges both of them with media duties.
Personaly, i don't know many people in their thirties to be social and have a lot of friends and hang out. Having friends and hanging out is for younger people before they have a family. After you get married and have kids your life revolves around them, which is normal course of life. Thats why most people adrift with friends in their thirties. For me there were days when i work and come home without speaking a word to anyone, if it weren't for my girl to drink cofee with i wouldn't have any company. That's alongside children also the purpose of marriage, not ending up alone, old, depressed, lonely and bitter, like many of whom i know in their fourties.

I think Rod Laver needs to be in the conversation. It was not his fault that the pig-headed rulers of tennis prevented professionals from playing in the majors for years. Laver lost out on competing in 20 majors from 1963 - 1967, when his game was arguably at its best. I think he likely would have won 8 or 9 of those, giving him an ultimate career total of 19 or 20. He won the calendar Grand Slam TWICE, something none of the Big Three have ever even done ONCE (Djokovic came the closest in 2001 by winning the Australian, French, and Wimbledon, but then he foolishly decided to compete in the Olympics that year, which wore him out physically and mentally, and he lost in the US Open final to Danil Medvedev as a result).

That was probably the most pressure he's ever been under in his life honestly. That wimbledon would have meant everything to him. It might be the last grand slam finals he'll be in in his life and I'm sure he was thinking about all of that instead of playing out the point. He literally won't get over this until he wins another grand slam...which could very likely mean that he won't get over it for the rest of his life.
