Bought this item in the States from a distributor. Can't find any e-mail contact for Derraco (the company that designed the unit) on their website. Have a few questions about the version I got: 1) My unit does not have a green power button. It has a silver button that is flush with the case when OFF, and recessed by 1/4" or so when ON. Is this a knockoff? 2) The plexiglass shield to keep cases in the hopper (hopper holds 185 .30-06 cases if you are interested) was drilled for the securing post...but it does not snug to the washer closest to the unit. Am I supposed to relieve the hole in the plexiglass to fit the post? 3) My shield securing post hardware came with three washers but instructions say to use two...do I just hang on to the third one? 4) I received a parts box with screws, e-clips etc. No indication where these go or what they are. I assume they are just spares. 5) The entire case of the unit is ventilated. Is all that venting necessary? Only asking because I would like to put a pouch on the back to hold the instruction manual and wrench set and spare parts kit so as to keep every thing together. Said pouch would block the vents. 6) The gas bottle stand is troublesome. I can't get it close enough to the unit for proper alignment of the bottle. The stand 'legs' hit the unit baseplate so that the flame is aimed towards the unit wheel. Been doing without the tank stand and simply resting the bottle on my work bench. For those using ANY annealer, remember to sort your brass by head stamp. Some brass may be thicker than others, or use a different combination of metals to create the brass. This will affect how your brass reacts to the heat. Setting your speed and flame strength for military brass may over anneal the thinner commercial brass. Poorly made brass may show hot spots of over annealing within an otherwise perfectly annealed case. Also make sure you check your brass for live primers. I fill my left hand with a sheaf of brass, then turn to look at the primers, then place them in the hopper when I am sure there are no live ones. This is important if you pick up range brass or if you have a case from which you pulled the bullet and dumped the powder and simply tossed into your 'spent' brass bucket.
Gday mate. I saw you put a review here with a link with photos. It looks like that RUclips deleted it automatically because you included a link. Really glad you love our Amazon USA versions. Kindly ask you to put a review on Amazon. that will be really helpful for us. thanks Cheng the designer of UGLY ANNEALER
Hey - It depends on who is selling it. You can buy direct from OZ, or from a reseller in the US. Obviously prices are different due to currencies, shipping, etc.
