- This is a hypothetical scenario on what may have happened if the 2010-2013 Intellistar for The Weather Channel existed in 1977, one of the coldest years for those in Florida and even The Bahamas! There were reports of either rain/snow mix or wet snow near Freeport on the morning of January 19th, 1977. The two sources I will list below soon, they mention reports of snow in Freeport. For this fake local forecast, I decided to give the most ideal scenario (for snow lovers!) and have it report snow showers for the current conditions. So interestingly enough, while frost has not been reported ever in the Bahamas, snow sure has!!! 1977 has been the only instance in recorded history where snow has fell in the Bahamas.
As for the current reported temperature of 41°F, I chose this, both as a realistic temperature for where snow can potentially still fall, and also since one of the sources I listed below says lowest recorded temperature was 41.4°F on January 20th, 1981. I believe it has gotten colder than that, some other sources would say so, but I did not want to overcompensate. So I think this is a good compromise.
Anyways, the hypothetical local forecast is based on the two sources below:

That was the day South Florida received the first and only instance of snow. It apparently snowed as far south as Homestead that day. Truly unreal!
I was driving back to my college in Virginia in March 2024, and during my trip my car's thermometer had a temperature reading of 47 Degrees Fahrenheit and it was snowing!!! So snow can theoretically happen at temperatures greater than 41 Degrees Fahrenheit under the right conditions.
1977??? Are You Really Sure About That?
Yep! Read the description for more info!
@ I already look at the description after you’ve uploaded the video.
