11:40 ~ in my case it's a windshield which frosts overnight but has a thicker patch of ice exactly in my line of sight. I breathe softly through my nose on my short trips so we can rule out excess moisture building up in that exact spot. Most of the time it's a fine day, even summer-like. Then at night I'll go out to drive to my job and there's the ice right there where I'm supposed to look through. Nowhere else on the car has this. The universe just has it out for us, to be as inconsiderate as possible to make our lives worse in passive ways.
Decades ago it was possible to buy just wiper _blades_ and only had to buy arms just once or keep the OEMs. Old ones get warped or torn? Get a new one for 25¢ apiece ... BUT of course big business thought they'd make more money by charging us for the whole unit with permanently attached blades. Not to mention more waste. My father still has some hanging on the walls of his working (mechanic) garage and has a lot of stuff back from the 60s marked "Made in USA".

3:24 Also, I've been using Duolingo daily for 4 months now. It isn't perfect. You definitely need to practice by looking up words, and speaking to people. However, I can understand some Spanish now. I'm also learning Latin. The roots and structure of the language helps to understand Spanish and English more. Ego studet domi est. Y me encanta aprender español! Und ein wenig Deutsch. I know what you mean though. I've definitely met people who use Duo to no avail.
