That's so bold. I have seen wrestlers in the airport and the gym and I never want to bother them bc they are doing work. I'm just grateful for all the years of entertainment each of them have given me over the years. I just think it's cool to see them in public.
They should just make every autograph personalized to the person asking, that way they can't sell them. Simply asking "what's your name" and then writing it on there "To (Name)" seems like it could dissuade a lot of these people. Nobody will buy an autograph made out to someone else Although I am 100% sure they have already thought of this and there's a reason they don't. Just spitballing lol
Speaking of Rhea, there’s a video of KO doing that for her. KO is a real one. And yeah, I’ve seen a few celebs in public but I never approach them. People think because they buy a song the artist that made the song belongs to them too. And everyone always says some goofy shit like “well I put millions in his/her pocket, the least he/she can do is take a picture with me!” You didn’t do anything. You may have contributed to his/her wealth but you already received something in exchange for your money. It’s not like you handed it to them for free. People are strange.
I remember seeing the Hardys and Lita in Walmart late one night on the toothpaste aisle when I was in probably the 9th grade. I went and found a scrap piece of paper and asked the Hardys if they'd sign it and they kindly did and I thanked them. Went to school the next day and had fun telling my friends the story. I think thats the only time I have met any wrestlers out in the wild lol.
Couldn’t agree more in respecting wrestlers regardless of what the setting is. I’ve never seen a wrestler outside of a paid signing such as a comic con, but if I did I would be just in awe of seeing a Mark Henry or a Bully Ray at an airport or in a restaurant. I would simply just timidly do a wave if they noticed me noticing them. Anything more they provide, I would be honored.
I've gone to many autograph signings in my life. I've been nothing but respect for everyone. There's times where a wrestler or Superstar will not be feeling quite in the mood that day. And they take it out on some of those fans by making their meet-and-greet pretty shity. And for what your pain and waiting in line for sometimes you get a bitter taste in your mouth. Especially when you're not one of those guys at the airport asking for a free autograph or picture. Sometimes they take it out on those fans who pay good money and waiting those long lines at conventions for signings. And I feel like they need to speedway more respectful to those fans who played their hard-earned money to wait in line and meet those wrestlers.
w/ all the shii i've seen from celebrities of all types including wrestlers, i'm more than happy w/ just appreciating what i see on screen and leaving it there.
I once got the chance to meet Mr. Perfect at Ventura's Mayor election party in my home town of Brooklyn Park MN, and I didn't even want to approach Curt despite the fact he was there for meet and greets! Eventually I did and he stayed in character the couple minutes I talked to him and everyone who met him said he was "funny" which he was!
I've never met a wrestler before but I use to do private security and the amount of times "fans" harass famous people is crazy. There was one singer that i had to follow into the bathroom because people would bother him while he was at the urinal. Yes with it out in his hand!
I saw Curt Henning and Rick Rude at a George Webb's with my dad when kayfabe was going. We didn't want to bother them because they were tired after a show, but they saw me with a Hot Rod shirt and I got to meet them and get a picture with them without even asking. Wrestlers are people too. Bully Ray I got to meet after a show and I didn't want to bother him, but I just wanted to say hi and he was so awesome.
You need to think about this stuff before you become famous. Remember fans do put money in your pockets. You wouldn't be nothing without the fans. It goes both ways. They keep saying they don't know us but we put money in you guys pockets.
Bro shut your dumbass mouth with that entitlement that’s exactly what they’re talking about they don’t owe you nothing more than what they give you on tv go somewhere with yourself 🤦🏽♂️
@@JuneCarpenter35 you are literally the problem it’s all entitlement people like u have … they don’t owe u anything outside of when they are entertaining and even if u think u have the right to ask they have the right to say NO! Harassing women regardless of status is crazy
This is why unless it's a conversation or a sanction meet and greet. I can't do the meeting wrestlers at airports or hotels. Only outside the arenas or if by chance i see them in public I ask for a picture. I don't much care for autographs. Wrestlers are people man. Respect that
Ask anyone in motorsports or sports and they will say the same thing what these guys are saying, where respect is earned, you will get that said respect in return. Hound a celebrity to no end and you'll get the boot a whole helluva lot faster than you can think.
No, they just need to let talent off the leash so they can retaliate against people like this. If they're in your space you shouldl be allowed to defend yourself, not worry about the consequences of being famous and possibly on video hitting a "fan"
Just Be Respectful! Rhea, or anyone else, especially the Women, are NOT at a Show or a signing, they're at an Airport. Leave the Ladies & Men that put their bodies on the Line for Our entertainment ALONE.
I have met lots of wrestlers... And lots of guys in hair bands... Just be cool, man! If somebody says that they can't sign something for you, ya gotta realize that they probably have a reason for that. Maybe it's a time crunch. Maybe they want you to come to the local signing/show... Maybe they just flat out don't want to do it. Ya gotta move on...
Been a wrestling fan all my 26 years, I've never been lucky enough to meet a wrestler but if I do, and he or she is busy or says no then fine yeah i maybe upset but I get it yall are busy.
I wish I had a memorbilia company pay me to get autographs as a kid. It's definitely better than selling drugs and running from the police. At least I know not to ever interact with Mark in public and definitely don't be business saavy. Just because someone owns a memorbilia shop doesn't mean they aren't a fan, they're just monetizing their fandom like they did when they got into the business. Its a weird stance, It couldn't impact me as I couldn't care less about an autograph or a picture, I'll just say whats up, and offer an hand shake and go about my day. They're just people normal ass people
My husband is super old school, and treats everybody with respect. Until you come at a woman in the wrong way. I guarantee, if he would have been there when that happened with Rhea, he would have immediately stepped in. The fact that he's a really big guy would probably help too. If you want an autograph, go to an autograph signing. Full stop. People need to stop with this false sense of entitlement towards people in the public eye. It's just insane to me!
I totally understand an agree with you on this one. Way back in the late it's me an some friends went to a show in a armory and saw Andre, an some more wrestlers. After the show we went to a local bar, walked in an Andre was there buying the place drinks an beers. Walked up to him an wanted to buy him an his crew a beer or a drink, an he was polite and said, no boss I got it. Never once asked him for a autograph and that's for the shows an meet an greets which is the only way to do so. An I once saw Mike Tyson in a bar drinking and same thing he was buying drinks, an I walked up to him to thank him, so with that being said, there's a time an place for everything, respect isn't earned, its given 🎉🎉🎉😊
@danielraynor4075 That is so cool that you met Andre and Mike Tyson! Honestly, if I were to meet someone like that, I would probably be too nervous to say anything to them, much less demand something from them. Lol. They're just people like us. And you are absolutely right, respect is earned, not an automatic thing.
When you act like a duck- people will throw bread at you. 1 in 10 is that annoying child trying to beam a duck while the other 9 are just trying to feed an animal. It's not OK that it happens but when your ego runs the industry- to expect anything less is fuckin insanity
I hate entitled people who bring 5 dozen things just for wrestlers to sign, and then go home, sign into their Ebay accounts and throw the signed items up for sale. That's what most of them do they try to make money off the wrestlers who are just trying to get from point A to point B!
It is a shame that WWE doesn't provide some sort of protection measure for its Stars while I understand that ultimately all the talent or considered contractors per the business relations when it comes to WWE itself and its Talent there still needs to be some sort of security team or Scout team that helps with these type of issues because if people are getting lost or not sure where they're supposed to go thanks to idiot fans who don't seem to comprehend that WWE Superstars are human as well and want therapies when they're in the airport then there is a major problem
I causally watch clips online and keep up with certain storylines but I'll never ask for an autograph or a picture out of fear of getting turned down now if it's a public meet up different story, but I'm not in the buy & sell trading business so I wouldn't care anyways lol I'll keep enjoying being a fan from a distance and being fine with it

Bruh one time I seen a fan in a wheel chair ask MJF for an autograph and MJF said yeah sure on one condition just stand. 💀 he’s a monster bro.
YUP. That's the way it HAS to be. Good on Ripley.

It’s plain and simple! Boundaries are boundaries!
I ran the tummy at the airport one time we were on the same flight and we had a great conversation
My guys!! Love y’all!!
It’s the exact equivalent to asking a rapper to rap on the spot
Wish they can have private security with the wrestlers

mark is right what if they was yours or someone you know. these people are still humans and still just like all of us end of day.
That wouldn't be my problem, I mind my own business

The ability to show others respect is one of the things I miss the most in society.
Tommy Dreamer is the best dude ever. Much love!
Its a shame that some grown adult fans dont see wrestlers as people too.

They don't owe you anything, if I was a wrestler I would spit in your face and tell you to keep your chump change for the bad attitude
Love this completely agree
I would thank her for all her hard work or any wrestler
Oh but wrestlers can ask me for an autograph and it’s fine .

This is unacceptable! As a man if I would have witnessed this I would have stepped in. I could only imagine how uncomfortable she must have felt.
There is something for you to to get help in the airport. It’s a red phone. It’s called the emergency phone. It’s in every airport.
Don’t start with that red zone shit again.
Hahaha love meeting Mark Henry

So disgusting. If you're over the age of 15 you have a serious problem. WWE needs to provide security for talent

It's an absolutely disgusting story. So ridiculous. I'm with Mark. Especially in the case of a female performer.
