It's a struggle for some of us Canadians to choose. I like the Prius for the looks but our winters destroy the roads and a more compliant suspension would win out for me. Not to mention the extra ground clearance for getting out of those frozen ruts on the side street parking. Still pretty darned good fuel economy for the Corolla Cross. Also, driving in traffic these days you're surrounded by SUV's and trucks. It's nice to sit a little bit higher. Thanks for the great comparison!

We’ve owned our ‘23 Prius Prime for over 6 months now. Before that, we owned a ‘20 Prius Prime. This one is an incredible machine. I can’t believe how good a job Toyota did with this one. Handling and ergonomics are better than most small sedans I have driven. I checked out the Corolla Cross and it definitely felt low rent in comparison. For me, the Prime is the way to go.

A little cheaper for the Corolla AWD hybrid. Better value?

After one year Prius still a hot looking car............. I got the prime, it's expensive but really fun to drive...... drove a Kona ev and the Kona felt like a big truck........ more confortable but way less nimble than the Prius........ can you imagine I downgraded from a Audi Q4 etron to the Prius.... wich driving around in Montreal make way more sens to me.

Justin, Thanks for putting together this highly detailed comparison. 🙌 For some time I have been confounded by the fact the Corolla Cross CUV has a shorter wheelbase than the Corolla sedan which is built 150 miles down the road. Now that I see the Prius has an even longer wheelbase, I am flabbergasted by the bizarre corporate thought process that robbed the Corolla Cross of usable rear seat space.🤬 With such generous rear seat legroom, it is a pity the Prius has awful rear headroom. The exact opposite is true for the Corolla Cross. 🤨All this leads me to the inescapable conclusion our own Canadian built RAV4 Hybrid is the better buy for family use. 😁

Its an easy reason. Prius is their flagship hybrid. Corolla is the poor man car. It will always get cheated. It can never be equal.

I wish yellow was available in the US. Interesting that many Canadian Toyotas only come with the AWD option. I’ve always wondered if AWD is worth the extra money for a Florida commuter….are they that much safer in the rain?

Have driven 3 Prius models since 2003, the new lower model might force me to a higher riding car as I am over 70 now

I have a 2023 Prius Prime XSE Premium, without the solar roof and the digital rear view mirror and the parking assist. With the prime models the battery range becomes a factor to consider. Does the Cross come in a plug-in model? I don't even see the Corolla Cross on the Toyota web site for 2024.

No Prime. Would've got one if available. Got SE with additionals.

I'm a Hyundai Kona fan and was sitting inside a Corolla Cross hybrid SEL last month. Found it cramped with a boring layout. You are correct that the Crossover has narrow shoulder room. Worse, the Toyota dealerships in my area of the U.S. are charging MSRP OR HIGHER, and I cannot get one to test drive, as they are all sold before the dealer even takes delivery. Sadly, the greedy attitudes of the Toyota dealerships is why I'm sticking with another Hyundai Kona!

As a 64yo Senior, I waivered between the 2 for months, recognizing ESPECIALLY the MUCH easier egress of the CC as I age, only drive @4k/year, to and from training facility 3.7m. 1/2 my driving. For me, the BIGGEST factor was UTILITY. So I went with a silver CC SE. Now if I can find out how to make the media center return to where it was when I TURNED IT OFF, instead of advertising for Toyota EVERY FUGGIN time I turn it on. MAJOR ANNOYANCE EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT! Toyota, such a loser move! BTW you can aftermarket a spare and jack, STANDARD EQUIPMENT IN AUSTRALIA, at least. ANOTHER LOSER MOVE YODA!
