My 75th Anniversary LCP Max is on its way and I should be able to pick it up from my FFL on Tuesday. I'm planning a mouse gun range trip but now will wait until the LCP Max arrives. Thanks for the video ☺️.
Got one from psa for $249. It shoots great. Initially, it shot low like in the video. The more I shot it(300 rounds), the poa vs poi was very close at 5 yards. I put the 13 lb. recoil spring in amd it smoothes it out.... though it never felt snappy to me.
I have a LCP Max, bought brand new, last year 2023. I'll share my experience. It's a small, light gun, and takes practice to hold it comfortably in your hand shooting it. But in my experience/opinion it needs these changes. 1. Factory sights- replaced with XS DXT2 Big Dot Night Sights 2. Trigger- replaced with Galloway Sigurd trigger 3. Recoil Spring- Galloway 13 lb. Outer Recoil Spring- retain the factory inner recoil spring. It works together. 4. Grip- Talon Grip, textured. 5. Brand new magazines- 10 round or 12 round- Load to capacity, keep magazines fully loaded for a week, then use it in the gun. 6. Go to the Range and shoot-break in the gun-as much ammo as you can tolerate- 100 rounds, 150, etc. The LCP Max is a excellent gun. After mods, and break-in it is 100% reliable. It even digests, without failure Winchester White box flat nose 95 grain flat nose. Which is my carry load Good luck to you. These are great guns, some need mods though. My experience
Thanks for the info. I bought mine two years ago but haven't taken it out to shoot yet(former health issues). I got the Sigurd trigger for it but haven't installed it yet. I did praise Ruger for having those kind of factory sights though because I always upgrade and install trijicon u notch night sights on my guns. Also,on my S&W striker guns I usually install Apex Tactical trigger kits on them. I think however that I may very well trade it in for a bodyguard 2 and be done with it
My 75th anniversary LCP Max shoots almost dead center about first size. I am the limiting factor and need more range time. For the price point $279. Stainless micro, there is nothing equal for the price, that I could find. Thank you for sharing your experience. I have researched many forums. Some say they sent theirs in for service and it came back shooting correctly.
Appreciate the video, I have 2 Lcp Max Elites that are similar to thr 75th Anniversary model, both seem to shoot really low. I called Ruger and they are sending me one new barrel and slide setup to try on both gun frames and if that solves it they will send me another barrel and slide setup for the other gun. I did not bench it when I shot it twice but I'm thinking I will buy a quality bench rest from Brownells to rest the frame and slide in when shooting to get to the bottom of this as to me if this gun shoots this low out of the box it is completely unacceptable and if Ruger cannot remedy this if it truly shoots low then I will be one to call this out on social media as this could cost someone there life because the gun is not accurate and is probably somewhat severely inaccurate..... Have not measured Elite trigger but if I recall on a video it was 4 pound or under so trigger don't seem like an issue and my Elite has coated trigger parts for a better trigger so I'm not impressed. With my M&P full size I can usually pick an apple off at 7 or so yards but with this I barely can hit a damn milk jug, I can understand being off left or right but a foot or more no I don't think that's acceptable at all when using the Combat hold with center of front sight completely over target and front sight centered in rear sight and even with rear sight horizontally... And if this can't get figured out I will have no choice but to switch to a Body guard 2.0 for pocket carry once Vedder comes out with a pocket holster for it.
I have the LCP Max, however they should stop making it, because it doesnt hold a candle to the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 Not even close in any respect. The new Bodyguard 2.0 is the best designed and manufactured micro- subcompact 380 in the last 40 years! It's that good.
@@Joeak74 they really are 🤣 so many get triggered on discord when I call the LCP junk. I own 2 LCPs and I’ve always thought they were junk but they were the only option, but the BG2.0 gives us a good alternative.

Thanks for the input. I'm sure the gun is helped a lot by those changes.

Agreed. They knocked this one out the park
@@TRR56 and the Sig 230/238/365 guys and LCP Max guys are butt hurt about it.

Lcp stings your hand bodyguard does not .
Lcp max sucks. Mine also shoots 4” low. Got a new bodyguard and it’s right on target. See ya Ruger.
Yep! It’s not even close. The BG2.0 is a real gun with good ergos
Your new sights won't work on bodyguard 2.0
Thanks for bringing it up. I did some reading and the rear sight is supposed to be the same but the front is definitely different.
LCP max is a poor product. sent mine back for shooting 4 inches low and came back the same way.
Dang, man.
