WOW!! Everyone should listen to the hopefulness in this song. It brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. Not to mention the memories that wash over me when I look at the kids in the audience. God I loved being part of the boomer generation.
Reminds my wife of very happy school days where there was lots of singing and clapping. Wonderful to see the children joining in and happy, as children should be. Thanks.
Superb singing, wonderful song!! I loved it the first time around, and I'm delighted to be singing along to this song many years later. Thank you Peter, Paul and Mary!

Here we stand on the eve of an election that will determine whether our country descends into chaos and tyranny or whether we we achieve a new level of enlightenment. Whether we discover, finally, that a woman is just as capable, maybe more capable, of being our leader. We always knew this day would come. Let's face it with courage. Let's hold one another's hands and walk into the clear light of a new day.
I remember watching this back in the early 90s i was feeling bad about my parents divorce but after seeing this i felt good. It gave me hope. One of my all-time favorite concerts. So cool to see everyone singing even the kids. There will NEVER be another Peter, Paul & Mary. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
There will never be another PPM. Time, place and need brought them together and we sure could use another group of American troubadours like them once again. The songs, the memories, the social unrest. Are we there again? Time will tell.
My churches little chorus, here in Mid Coast Maine, is looking for a great song to sing on our Zoom chorus rehearsal this week (keeping our distance during the Covid-19 crisis.) and I thought this one I remember from the 60's -70's would be a good one..

I think they performed this song at the Nov. 1969 Moratorium on the Vietnam War protest on the Mall in Washington DC. Really inspired the half a million protesters there.
Does anyone know the date they played this? 2015? I see all the little kids in the audience singing it along word for word. There's a decades difference in age between the little ones and PP&M, and it's wonderful to see. I was a child of the 60's being 10 in 1962. I grew up loving these groups (along with the Seekers(!). In 1971 left home and the BeeGees hit it big. I was in Washington, DC and found another obsession. DISCO girl! What a great time to grow up in!

In the folk world people still do, but I have to say this really does look a bit cultish. 😬🤣
This has been going through my head since the election. It provides comfort.
They were the greatest trio that ever
sung! Their voices melted your heart!
They bring tears to my eyes and
inspiration to my soul. The greatest!
This song should be compulsory for every musician to learn these day!❤😮
Peter Yarrow writes as beautiful as he
sings! This is one of his classics!
How we need to hear this song, and others like it, today
Oh my, I haven't heard this song in decades. It's one of my favorites.
Reminds my wife of very happy school days where there was lots of singing and clapping. Wonderful to see the children joining in and happy, as children should be. Thanks.
I can never get enough of there brand of Folk n' Roll!❤
Beautiful, relevant as ever. We need such songs and singer-songwriters today.
I woke up here in the Philippines and my son is sleeping here. This song popped into my mind and I sang it to him. April of 1969 I'm thinking.
This song always makes me very emotional.
One of my favorite Peter, Paul, and Mary songs since childhood!
Did you listen to the version of Nana Mouskouri?
Superb singing, wonderful song!! I loved it the first time around, and I'm delighted to be singing along to this song many years later. Thank you Peter, Paul and Mary!
This is what music is. They were a beautiful band.
I miss Mary!! This is my favorite song
I have grown up with Peter, Paul & Mary songs. Still play my guitar and sing their songs. Love them forever!
