Don't feel bad about the headphones I'm the exact same way about them. I feel like they are humongous & I always say I think I'm just super sensitive when it comes to stuff like that. even ear pods mess with me. lol
Aha, i see you did end up buying the Sony's. I was about to suggest the Bose QC 35 2 for the specific issue of headphones putting pressure on your ears and temples.
Tip for my fellow desk-working ladies. If Headphones give you headaches you need to find the underlying cause. Spending more on headphones will not fix the problem. I was getting headaches for years. I've spent hundreds if not thousands on headphones over the last decade. I found out I have TMJ. Which is a disorder of the Jaw hinge. If you have this you shouldn't use over-the-ear headphones as they will put pressure on that joint and make the issue WORSE. So do your homework first. I ended up buying a cheap set of Logitech headphones wich is so funny because I have so many "big" name brands just lying around unused. II also have a small head so these work well for me but only after I stretch them out first. New headphones are always too tight so I put them around some sideways books for a week and it helps.

As a fellow tiny-noggin owner, I recommend Audio Technica's headphones. They're light and sit comfortably on the head without squeezing. 👌
Suggest getting the previous model Sony's not too many upgrades in the 5 but understand wanting the exact model.
