I was physically abused as a child so when you said “confess because you seek punishment” that really hit home an now I can change that thank you so much.

Thank you so much, this is something I've struggled with for a while now. Gonna see a doctor in two days, hopefully will get some meds and a psychiatrist referral so I can get through this hell. Keep up the good work :)

I have been a sufferer of religious based obsessions at various times. Thanks for your video. It is important to point out (and you did) that the source of the thought is what needs to be dealt with, more so than the remedy or “neutralizing” of the thoughts. 👍

What if it’s something you really done ? That you have confessed about and continually feel you left a part out or you said it wrong and it’s all you think about now

Yes! I totally understand this! From what I've read/watched, this too can be part of OCD, the feeling of, "Oh wow, did I tell all the details? Is there something i left out?" You aren't alone in this.

Hi Kirsty, I am fine not to confess thoughts now as I know that just weird mental rambles. Trouble is occasionally I find I will just blurt out random things to myself audibly. Because those weird ramblings have been said out loud rather than just thought, I can feel guilty which I know is stupid and have the overwhelming urge to confess. Any advice please?

Hi Jonathan did you found anything to help you with ocd confession? My two psychologist told me I don’t need to say anything to anyone. Because it’s never true. I’ll confess a lot to my therapist, I hope you find a way to heal. And I send hugs I know it’s hard and you’ll get better

@@azureshieru423 Thanks so much. I don't get alerts and have only just seen this reply. I think your advice is correct there. Confessing only grows the ocd, but it is very challenging not too especially in times of stress etc. I find it hampers me a lot at times I want to enjoy like Christmas so I find this time of year harder for it.
I'm good at not confessing any thoughts now but anything real life events I find harder as they have actually happened (even though I know my reaction to them is so far fetched).
      Sending you best wishes too
