Such a beautiful song...John was an absolute romantic! Perfect delivery by Freddie and I agree, the horns add to the mood. This song is a treasure. Thanks for requesting Danielik, thanks for reacting Faith!
The saxophone player on this song is Steve Gregory the same guy who played on George Michael's Careless Whisper. If you want to hear another Queen song with horns section listen to Staying Power.
If you want an insight into two songs listen the the demo "A kind of vision" very earĺy stages of "A kind of magic". It has the tune to and some lyrics to "A kind of magic" but some lyrics to "One vision". Roger mentioned he wrote the song then Freddie came along and got hold of it changed it all and did his thing and the rest is history.
This was for the Highlander movie. Have you done Gimme the Prize from the movie? The Hitman? Thanks for another great song and you are correct, each song gives the listener something personal and worthwhile
There are tons Faith you haven't heard yet....!.. please do Mother Love. Their very last song together before Freddie died. Please finish the Days of our lives documentary..much luv.
Nope haven't done it yet !!! And it's a GREAT song !!! From Highlander movie !!!

'A Kind Of Magic', is the album; the year is 1986. Another associated with the, 'Highlander', movie. This and, 'Pain Is So Close To Pleasure', are total departures, (as per usual), for Queen.
The reason for the saxophone is because John didn't want guitar in this song. It was a difficult time in the relationship with Brian (and the whole band). John suggested a saxophone solo. On the other hand, Brian demanded to record the bass for the song Who want to live forever, for the same album.
Another beauty from Deaky. There's still a few out there for you to discover Faith - how about John's first credited song, a cheeky little number called 'Misfire' - I'll say no more about it, I'm pretty sure others will bring you up to speed on its alleged subject. It's a fun one.
After you've got a pretty good library of Queen under your belt go to their official RUclips channel and check out some of the new concert videos with Adam Lambert fronting. He's no Freddie nobody could be but Adam does an outstanding job.
Lol Hey David check out my previous videos on this channel along with my THE QUEEN SHOW & QUEEN ARMY Channels as I've almost reacted to Queens entire catalog. I think Adam is awesome too btw!! Wishing you all the best David thanks for the comment!!
I've got a few requests Faith !!! Steely Dan Kid Charlemagne, Bad Sneakers, Black Cow, I.G.Y, Pretzel Logic, Doctor Wu 😜 OR some Rush Fly By Night. Heres an off the wall one ...AC/DC Its a Long Way to The Top (get the live video where they are rolling down the street on a trailer bed and BoN Scott plays BAGPIPES! YEP Bagpipes in Hard Rock music.
Hey can u please also react to Billy Joel songs (like Piano Man, Scenes From an Italian Restaurant, Only the Good Die Young, We Didn't Start the Fire...) :)
So many great Queen songs in the Highlander movie. Please do a reaction to the song, Stealin'. There's an extended version that is great. Queen - Stealin' EXTENDED DEMO Remaster 2013 GREAT VOCALS IMPROVISATION ruclips.net/video/uqt1SCN1Ocg/видео.html A non-extended version is below and I have to say that the video with this one is on point.: Queen - Stealin' ruclips.net/video/yEAD95IIuqc/видео.html Principally composed by Freddie Mercury (though, as all other songs from these sessions, credited to the band as a whole), this song is a tongue-in-cheek representation of a man who spends his life committing robbery. The song is performed mainly through spoken words, but occasionally has lines sung. This song appeared as the B-side to the "Breakthru" single. If you listen you'll hear Queen's signature of guitar in one headphone and another instrument or Freddie singing in the other. This is Queen having fun.Freddie is without question, amazing in his improv. Roger's drumming is fantastic. Brian's guitar playing is as usual, spot on. But the star this time is John Deacon's bass playing. This is a very long music video, 21 minutes but you'll definitely enjoy those minutes.
In my opinion, May and Taylor are afraid to release an album with Adam Lambert because of the poor reception of the CD in partnership with Paul Rodgers, despite being a very good job. In fact, The Cosmos Rocks' only "flaw" is that Brian and Roger only sing on one track - and still sharing the lead vocals with Rodgers. My ideal CD would be like News of the World, with several tracks sung by May and Rogers and the others by guest artists like Adam Lambert, Kerry Ellis, Paul Rodgers, Marc Martel and etc.
Great reaction & great request! Thanks again for another John Deacon song. Love his stuff & the way Freddie sings it !

A shame they didn’t get to do it live.
Lol you could say they’re Princes of the Universe. 😎
ETA I totally meant that! 🤣🤣🤣
I think you meant princes. The other one would involve Skeletor. ;)
