You should do a bouncing ball animation. Where you start off with just a circle(and maybe a simple environment) and see if everyone can complete a full bounce cycle before it devolves into madness.
Really baffled about why people kept taking really great ones and turning it into a frame where nothing is discernible, like turning the really great Diglett one into just a cloud, or the one where someone basically drew a black screen and it just morphed into a couple frames of an anime girl because literally no one would know what to do with that.
I think that comes from some people never having played the game or worked in a group setting like this on animations before. I wouldn't assume that's a common experience for solo animators to have, so they probably have their own systems in place when it comes to planning it out and being used to knowing exactly what would come next. Or they just want to make it more challenging, provided everything above still.
@@Ghost-ql6tn nah, gartic provides onion skin. So they should be able to copy previous drawings easily, even a complete noob can do that. Just that one guy didn't even try. Gartic phone was never a pro-only game, everyone can play it. Though i also think that the black frame was purely a mistake. He probably didn't think that far someone wouldn't understand it.
They should make another brush that lets you add things that wont be in the final animation but only the next person can see so you can add things like arrows and whatnot so you know which way something is going... I know thats part of the fun of it and whatever but they should at least make it an option to turn on or off so you can essentially choose between cool or funny I guess
Im in awe. We all know artists and animators have a tough job, but these people make it look so easy. From their mind, they can easily transfer it from a idea in their head to on screen within seconds. Not only that, but they can continue someone else's art style. Very cool, and a few rounds of this game can create some interesting shorts.

Tbf the anime girl one worked as it acted like two scenes but your right
@@Ghost-ql6tn nah, gartic provides onion skin.
20:16 actually looks kinda like a OP intro, well, most of them do
I’d love to see the Drawfee crew participate in this :D
The Subjectively crew would also bring some fun stuff to the table.
I really hope the gartic team will add storyboard mode
That'll be so much fun where they will have to continue story from the drawing they get
That'll kinda sick, nice
Take a shot everytime Ross says this might actually work
Im in awe. We all know artists and animators have a tough job, but these people make it look so easy. From their mind, they can easily transfer it from a idea in their head to on screen within seconds. Not only that, but they can continue someone else's art style. Very cool, and a few rounds of this game can create some interesting shorts.
This is beautiful, they are even keeping the style of the drawing consistent
Edit: sometimes
“sometimes” *eyes faith*
These have become a highlight of my days. thank you Ross
Something about you drawing so well so fast is just satisfying
Faith destroying every animation but somehow it all works out every time.
Like half of the didn’t. She got lucky on the diget one and archer on. But it still bugged me cause why did she draw a shitty cat and arrow then just a cloud?? She could have made a faint diglet outline in the cloud at least
You're extremely talented at creating a facial impression with just a few lines
8:28 I'm pretty sure that was supposed to be the Kamehameha from Dragon Ball Z. :sob:
Hot damn Telepurte is in this one, y'all got some hot shot artists in these calls
They had odd1sout and jaiden animations as well a few vids ago
these gartic videos are my obsession at the moment. thanks for getting these talented people (including yourself) together for them!
0:54 his penith got thlammed poor guy
I saw the cat licking the cheese when Ross was drawing and thought “huh, this kinda looks like telepurte!” Little did I know he was in the call
This game would be great in creating a group animation project for an Arts course, if only for the fact that everyone could contribute.
