Your illustrations make me giggle. A man of many talents. You are a gift to humanity, thank you for being a bright light in dark times.
My pleasure. I love drawing 😀
Cinnamon is anti-inflamatory too.
Just a word of caution. I committed to turmeric daily for years now. But just learned that it also is effective to remove iron. I have low iron but didn’t know the turmeric can contribute to this. Now I’m changing my use of it.
Sugar is my biggest inflammation trigger.
You are correct. It is a powerful cause of inflammation.
I was just thinkin’ about you! 😃 Haven’t had a chance to review latest Patreon offerings on inflammation, but will soon. Your work is always appreciated!
Thank you for visiting. Appreciate your note!

Thank You Very Much Drbeen. 🙂👍 A REALLY EXCELLENT IMPORTANT Overview.
This knowledge will help many of us to stay Healthier & LIVE LONGER.

You are welcome!
Thanks for the simple strategy list to combat this common issues. 👍🏻💝
My pleasure.
Walnuts are high in Omega3 fatty acids.
Thank you
Dr. Bean .. I thank you for your thorough explanation & also the chart you created. I unfortunately am ate up with two kinds of arthritis, but otherwise, no other physical problem areas. I am a healthy 77yo who lives in Alabama
Here's to a healthy 77!
Thank you. I always tended to have a diet like my parents but of late been a bit lazy. I must move back.😊
Colloidal silver (nanoparticles), L carnitine
What Nano particles?
how is silver anti-inflammatory?
I understand that INSULIN plays a significant role in driving inflammation or it least in the response of immune system cells.
4:00 yes. Nigella sativa. incomparable to all others in terms of pathways of action.
That's correct. Nigella is great.
I remember you telling us how your mother, if i remember correctly, said nigella will prevent everything except death. We took it during pandemic with raw honey. Thanks for your succinct summary❤@@DrBeenMedicalLectures
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and experience with us all Dr. , and helping us to help ourselves through education and understanding has NEVER been more important post lockdown with limited access to medical care, advice and support.
You are very welcome.
Your videos are the best. Please discuss lupus and rheumatoid combined with cardiac failure. There are many supplements when taken for the condition alone, but when they are experienced together, there is so much to think of. Stuffs that can help the heart can cause a flare up and vice versa as well
Noted.
While watching this very helpful video I took a screen shot to draw it on a larger page later.
And then you said, “I produced all this information on the page, so that you can take a screen shot!!”
Brilliant ❤️🙏❤️
Excellent points. Thiamine is important with inflammation. Thiamine is a co-factor for carbohydrate metabolism. Diabetics are at increased risk of thiamine deficiency (which raises inflammatory pathways). You touch on this (carbohydrate-inflammation) at 06:09.
Thank you for adding value.
@@DrBeenMedicalLectures
I’ve learned so much from you! I’d be hard pressed to come up with something that I disagree with you about.
Thinking about this. If there are all these pathways. The people who are imunal comprised must have serious issues. If the estimation in Europe is 25 percent . There is no wonder covid etc is hitting people so hard.
There are even more. I am just discussing a few key pathways.
@DrBeenMedicalLectures yes and thank you again. I have the book chronic next to my bed, I often pick it up, it puts things into prospective. I am 73, reasonably fit, healthy and curious the reasons why when others not so. One good thing. My wife and I have been members of biobank since the start, which hopefully will help others in the future.
A very concise list! Thank you very much!
You're very welcome!
Charcoal, citrus pectin, chlorella, colesevelam, bentonite clay help with detox.
Charcoal stops the absorption of vitamin d and other vitamins and long term the person is at risk of serious health problems.
Thank you, Dr. Been!!!!!
Welcome!
Incredible! Thank you Dr. Been.
You are welcome!
Terrific! Thank you😊

Thank you so much, Doctor!
You are welcome.
Excellent video!! A wonderful reminder about the importance of keeping a copy of your dietary and supplement discussions on hand while in the grocery store 😃♥️🕊
Thank you.
Love these summaries!
Thank you.
Love those illustrations!
Thank you.
i used most of those supplements since 2002 when started Teitelbaum CFS protocol, with little improvement. then for late-stage neuro Lyme, in 2005 finally tried Buhner's herbal protocol. i had fast significant benefit from Stephania root powder. at the time, one symptom was knee swollen and extremely painful. stephania helped reduce inflamed pain.
Interesting. Thank you for sharing.
I keep hearing that using "treatments" on a rotation works best. If there is microbial infection, it keeps them from mutating or adapting to the treatment.
Thank you Dr Been! I have 5 different pine and other evergreen essential oils that I collected over the years. I started difusing them in my room in the hope that it might have similar benefits to forest-bathing.
*A little goes a long way with essential oils… it is easy to over do it.
Start with only a drop or two of each oil, and notice how it affects you. On another day, add a drop or two to your diffuser and again, notice the results.
I celebrate you taking responsibility for and trying to improve your health and wellbeing.
Good luck!
@@jimmierodgers1597 Thanks for the advise Jimmie. I agree that the stuff is really strong and it is easy to over do it. Good luck to you too! There is so much health info out there to try to implement. In terms of diet I have decided to go the high animal product route as opposed to the vegan direction. It seems to be helping so far. It definately got rid of severe joint pain. I am grateful for that because that sucked!
You are welcome @pjjman. And thank you @jimmi.
Thank you for this summary!! Got my screenshot!

Progesterone removes estrogen dominance. Estrogen dominance can be caused by micro plastics and other toxins like fragrance etc. Also sulphourphane.
Interesting.
Progesterone has to oppose estrogen because if estrogen isn't opposed, it gets dominant when progesterone is low from stress. I use estrogen, progesterone and dhea to fight the stress related weight, bone and lean muscle loss from high levels of cortisol for 8 years.. estrogen dominance can grow into cancer and progesterone builds bone, keep the libido high and is a natural antidepressant. Balance is key.
Thanks for sharing this important information. Reminds me to make better lifestyle choices.

Thank you very much King Been ... I have so many ailments, I sometime feel inflated to three times my size ;

Resveratol is high in Blueberries, Raspberries, Grapes, Mulberries.
Thank you
Thanks for the info doc! Though you did mention to abstain from processed food, you seem to warn against all carbohydrades, I can see why refined carbohydrates are suboptimal, however unprocesed carbohydrated have lot's of good data going for them feom shat I've seen.
❤Dr. Been, I've had Long Covid since 2020, and the only things that have helped me are eating a carnivore diet, Ivermectin, fluvoxamine for 20 days, a gut detox with probiotics, and a few supplements like Omega 3, Vit D K2, NAC, B12, and Reservateol.
If I eat outside of the carnivore diet, my pain comes back along with gut issues. IF for up to 24 hrs has helped my. rain and inflammation. The carnivore diet took 8 months to see s significant difference in my pain but when I did, it was found overnight. I thought this would help others. 😊❤
Thank you for adding your experience.
Carnivore diet has been like a miracle for me.
@@DrBeenMedicalLectures Sadly I found out my rental has mold and that keeps sick. Some people don't heal due to having mold in their home. I can't afford to move yet I can't afford to stay here. Following De. Judy Cho's recommendation, I've created as safe of an environment i.n the areas that have no mold, for now. I'm constantly looking for an affordable rental, but California is pretty expensive when you can't consistently work and you're a single momma. You helped guide me so much and are greatly appreciated by us patients. Thank you! God bless you!💝🙏
@@suehull6688 it's pretty amazing yet most doctors speak horrible about it. We're a walking testimony! Sadly most of the patients in my support groups DON'T want to do what it takes, they eant sheeesh medical medicine because that's easier than being tough on themselves and cutting out the junk that's keeping them sick! It's so sad.💞👌🏻
1 oz olive oil with a pinch of ginger powder for pain ! Also Moringa!
Thanks!
Welcome
Great presentation on inflammation! Interest renewed all over again!
Thank you for liking!
Thank you for this. Been battling R/A and the drugs are horrid.
You are welcome. Working to help patients with conditions as RA.
Have you tried the carnivore diet? I did and I n 8 months I could open my hands and spread my toes comfortably. My joints bo money hurt. Worth trying it! Look up Laura Spath and Dr. Ken Berry. Thise two have tons of valuable information on how to get started. Dr. Berry has answers to all your questions and does live videos every Monday night. Best of luck!
@@DrBeenMedicalLectures You are a wonderful person for doing this. I just got off the phone with my rheumatologist and not one discussion about diet, supplements. Zilch.
Just every chemo drug available. She wants me to get infusions, since I've had reactions to all of the other stuff.
Been trying to eat clean, I take most of the vitamins you listed, with real food, so they absorb better and move as much as possible.
I do like Castor oil topically, it does help. Along with other herbs mixed in.
Blessings to you.
@JustJulesAgain yes I agree. I’ve been suffering 7 months with Poly Arthritis and today I’m crying with the pain and isolation. Can’t afford all these supplements as I lost my job to top it all
@@heatherthompson3670 I feel you. Same. In pain and what are we supposed to do? No job, yes, I've cried, and I have always been tough, but this is a nightmare. Gentle hugs. These drugs are scary. I can barely stand up today. My 83 yr old mom is faster than I am. Many don't understand this.
Thanks for all you do! I’m reminded I need to order more CoQ10. Any brands or types you or your viewers are liking right now?
Haven't gotten a brand name off the top of my head.
Our functional medicine practitioner has me on Jarrow Co-Q19 200 mg.
@@DrBeenMedicalLectures OK! The CoQ10 landscape is a confusing one. It feels like the CoQ10 forms alone & their bio-availability, could be it's own separate short lecture some day. Ubiquinone, ubiquinol, liposomal delivery, etc. It's all somewhat exhausting. And many of us are already exhausted from chronic illness...& it's tough to ensure we're spending our hard-earned $$ on supps that our bodies can absorb. Ditto for Glutathione! OK I'll stop whining now. 🤐
I was severely v in jured and doing so much better with a functional doc. High dose vitamin C IVs are helping and was diagnosed with CIRS. Not happy about it but it can be controlled. Thank you for this.
How do I get a "high dose vitamin C shot"? My doctor would shoot me instead.
@@ericmagnuson4170 IV's Functional doc. They are helping me.
Thank you, Drbeen. You provide such a clear list of almost everything very helpful. Can we get rid of the inflammation made by our body itself, like autoimmune diseases? I have PBC, a bile ducts inflammation which our doctors told there is no methods to reduce.
With your doctor's approval you can start to test some interventions from this list. Praying for your recovery.
TY TY TY! I jave trouble with inflammation...i try to a conscious of the keeping down. When i exercise i tend to get stiff and sore even when doing it regularly basis.
You are welcome. Prayers for your recovery.
🙏 Thanks for this reminder, sorry I cannot be with you on Zoom due to the time difference.
You are welcome. No worries about zoom.
Dr Been which supplements would you consider for Anosmic patients (since the events of March 2020), if that is indeed an inflammation mechanism? Also can you do a show about it.. many thanks.
Thank you! I am a lifetime member. 😊. I am a visual learner, love your animate drawings!! I have different inflammatory issues. Trying Mediterranean diet. I don’t eat much since lost my appetite from long C Ovid. Taking all the supplements gets expensive, they can irritate my stomach. Which are the most I port ant ones to take? Maybe have dietitians on to help people with healthy choices?
Wonderful!
@@DrBeenMedicalLectures I added to my comment with a suggestion. Thank you ever so much!
Dr. Been, would you consider doing a 'dose/safety' review of your main suggestions since we see much unscientific 'overenthusiam' for many supplements and perhaps any unfortunate interactions which the lay watcher may not know about. The only one I've attempted myself to drill down into detail is vitamin D.
Will do. It will take a bit of a time. But, yes, will do.
@@DrBeenMedicalLectures Thank you Mobeen, in your own time if you think it's worth it for people. :)
K2-mk7
Is it as much of a coagulant as K1..
Ie.. Was told to NOT take it as on blood thinners. TIA
That's correct. Research is still going on about the relative coagulation difference between the two Ks. But, k2 is also procoagulant.
Love to hear about calcium deposits and if they actually dissolve when attached to the bone. Class 6 laser?
Fewer not less processed foods, same with carbohydrates, countable versus non-countable nouns
Thank you.
Swap your plastic chopping board for a wooden one.
Good point.
Where do you find chronic inflammation articles? The v caused CIRS in me. Thanks.
Yes finally Co q10 and resveratrol and ginseng.. Been taking plus many other suppliments for many years plus photobiomodulation also past 5 Years. B-100 and d with k2 and ASTRALAGUS which many still don't talk about and NADH. .
True
Dr. Beenx, can you please make video about important inflamation tests?
Will do.
@@DrBeenMedicalLectures Thank you :)
Latest research on caffeine show that long term use dont have a benefit. Rather it might give you lower focus on average.
However research on coffee show that decaf have the same health benefit as normal coffee.
So its a good idea to swich to decaf and save ordinary coffe for when you need that caffeine boost.
Of course with decaf you can drink it all day while with caffeine you shouldnt have any after one in the day unless it disturbs your sleep quality.
Interesting.
Unfortunately, though we ate a lot of legumes (kidney beans, lima beans, peanuts) when I was growing up, my IBS cannot handle them.
The best supplement is to eat properly, wisely and without chemicals as much as possible. Reduce your stress. Unfortunately most food today is low in terms of nutrition. Specially listen to the body and understand what it needs. Taking supplements normally charges your system to the point of exhaustion often having trouble to throw them away, plus most of them are artificial and seriously dangerous. You're simply shooting your foot
Turmeric
What about proteolytic enzymes? Bromelain, papain, nattokinase, serrapeptase?
I mentioned some. There are tons of molecules.
Doctor, many thanks, this was so helpful.
Could you please comment on chaparral. I know about controversy but i think in small amounts it is aiding my body very well, No other herbal ingredient has been so effective in fighting inflammation and infections. I also can’t praise enough Ayurvedic Triphala and Trikatu as well as ginger and turmeric but they alone sometime are not enough. After taking Chaparral I feel so much lighter.
Thank you for this Dr. always understand your content and have an opportunity learn something new.
Water / hydration or rather underhydration puts our bodies under stress - increasing stress hormones like cortisol, adrenaline etc which often leads to chronic inflammation.
Some research has found that the human body is on average 75-80 % water and that water's salinity is on average similar to that of the earth's oceans.
Water is involved in every biological process at cellular level in the human body , yet this healing nutrient and its minerals are never really mentioned or checked .
One research paper I read suggested that to maintain normal healthy body functions people aged 50 - 70 years old have to drink 20ML of plain water per KG of body weight or double (40ML) if it is not plain.
Would be great to see your take on this nutrient/molecule Dr.
Interesting points. Will discuss.
Do reishi or other mushrooms help?
I will check the studies.
Fun fact. Curcumin is in Tumeric.
True
I have interstial lung disease and dr. says no tumeric it does not work with my meds.
I understand. Prayers for your recovery.
❤
What about GABA? Doesn't that act through several of those pathways to help reduce inflammation?
I just mentioned a few. Discussed GABA in my pain management course.
What about Ganoderma Lucidum and Trametes Versicolour…?
Will discuss as I teach further pathways.
I came across an article which talks about hydrogen rich water and its anti-inflammatory properties. Do you know something about that?
I don't.
@@DrBeenMedicalLectures Thank you. Interestingly there are not few studies around this topic: "Pilot study of H2 therapy in Parkinson's disease: A randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trial"
"Open-label trial and randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover trial of hydrogen-enriched water for mitochondrial and inflammatory myopathies"
As two examples. But i do not know, how "good" they are. Just FYI.
Have a nice day.
Seems to me everything has inflammation lol
Why carnivore diet works wonders on inflammation (related to gut problems)?
I had to go against my religion to eat meat and it healed my chronic problems in a week.
I have been taking NAC for 12+ months now. Do I need to take a break or can I keep taking it ?
I haven't seen any study that suggests to stop the after a window of time. I think vitamins are as important to take regularly as needed by our body.
@@DrBeenMedicalLectures 🙏
Ivermectin
what about boswellia?
It is good.
@@DrBeenMedicalLectures thank you and blessings from France.
Are you suggesting that simply walking in the forest brings us in contact with natural tree/plant oils? I’m on a protocol where plant oils will interfere with the effectiveness, this is why I ask. Thx!
Walking near the trees where you can feel there smell is an indicator that plant oils maybe present in the environment. Can't generalize though as it depends upon the tree type, breeze, etc.
@@DrBeenMedicalLectures Thank you Dr. Been! I do know that walking in the forest completely changes my mood. I will carry on. So appreciate all of your videos!
@@FL-dv7tq And, the green forest reflects the near infrared light back into the shade from many directions to give your body the benefits that provide increased mitochondrial function. This is an essential part of the spectrum, that is always in outside daylight wavelengths to balance out the blue light spikes in the visible wavelengths. Since we evolved outside, and now we only bring a very narrow portion of that outside light inside, we now are exposed to very high levels of blue light w/o the NIR to balance it. I believe research indicates that this causes cortisol 'flight or fight' alertness to overpower levels of pineal melatonin that helps prepare for deep slow wave sleep. This apparently does not allow deep enough paralysis preparatory to starting 'replace and repair' mechanisms during sleep, resulting in less body healing itself. Search: quantum biology of light.
Low dose Naltrexone?
This is a great intervention.
Creatine? ;))
in other words, greek - turkish foods :D
