Gotta love the magic of Croatia . We stayed on HVAR back in June after riding our Harley all the way from Devon. We definitely hit the sweet spot on June as it was still quiet and you could still get some accommodation bargains. Old town Hvar was cool especially the view from the fortress. We stayed in Jelsa for a week with apartment on the beach for £350 . Wine £2.50 beer £2.50 so great value too. The hidden jem of the island is a place called Ivan Dolac. Great video as always ❤
Oh wow, I've been to Hvar but Korcula is so incredibly gorgeous!! Amazing video! Btw...if you want sandy beaches, they're farther up north in the Adriatic, especially the islands there.
I was there in 2023 end of Junewith my wife. We styed in hotel in Brna. Every evening we went to Korcula. On 30th June they celebrate mid of year. It was cray and funny!
You beautiful couple. You have taken me back to Korcula. I was last there in July 2010, and we had toppo lessers on speedo boats just waving at our cruise ship. Such fun times. The world was so magnificent then.
Great video,Croatia looks an absolute stunning country,my partner loved the black and white shorts that Molly was wearing so much that she trawled the internet to buy a pair the same lol 😁
So sad you guys left Croatia without visiting Istria which is my vacation place for years and years. It has some of the most beautiful cities: Rovinj, Poreč, Pula... It is a whole new world, you can feel the Italian influence in every corner since a lot of Italians actually live there and in my opinion it is a lot more sophisticated than the Dalmatian part of the coast. Hope to see you there next time you're in the Balkans.
Pakleni islands name is popularly translated as Hells' islands (pakleni: hellish) but it originally derives from paklina. Paklina means "tar", and its pine resin once used to coat ships that was harvested on these islands.
Croatia, Hvar and Korcula are indeed pretty, pristine water. What was the water temperature when you were there. Molly, did you get a little tipsy after that wine tasting (hehe). I thought you guys were beer drinkers. As always, Stunning Video ! Sending much love❤ from a pretty vacation spot, St. Charles in The Chesapeake Bay. Harriet, Jim and Yuki
Croatians are among the top nations in the world in terms of wine consumption per capita. According to data from the last few years, Croatia often ranks in the top ten countries globally for wine consumption per person. The average annual wine consumption in Croatia is around 40 liters per capita, although this number can vary depending on the data source and the year of the survey. Croatia is on par with traditionally high wine-consuming countries such as France, Italy, Portugal, and Switzerland. Croatians prefer to consume locally produced wines, which further contributes to the high level of consumption. Wine culture is deeply rooted in Croatian society, especially in wine regions such as Istria, Dalmatia, Slavonia, and Baranja. One another cultural thing that distinguish Croatia from the Balkans.
The modest consumption of alcohol being good for your health is a myth. It's the benefit of olive oil in mediterranean cuisine, not the wine or other alcohol
It’s so so beautiful and love the kayak to the beach lol proper cool almost James bondish , Croatia is a beautiful country but so so popular, thanks guys for the advice aswell regarding eSIM I’ll work it out, lavender is absolutely hideous lol I had it once as an expensive shaving cream and I couldn’t even shave with the bloody stuff it was horrific and making me gag when shaving, sounds ridiculous but I swear it’s true

Too bad you didn't have the opportunity to visit nearby Lumbarda to the east where the Korčula archipelago ends. There two very nice fully sandy beaches on opposite shores (north and south) and the only location where Grk (The Greek)grape is grown from the sand and from which the famous Grk wine is made but ammounts are limited because there is only so much terrain where it can grow. And you usually must know someone really well to get the best vintage.
You just walked on the stone in Korcula that adorns the White House. And (ultimate party capital) in Croatia is Island of Pag ( Novalja-beach Zrce) .It's for young and drunk people.LoL
At least famous wines in the Balkans 😂😂 1. Pošip Čara - This winery, located on Korčula, has produced Pošip wine that has won several awards: • Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA): Pošip Čara has won bronze medals at this prestigious competition, which evaluates wines from all over the world. • Mundus Vini: This competition also recognized the quality of Pošip from Čara, awarding it a bronze medal. 2. Pošip Nerica (Nerica Winery) - Another wine that has won awards on the international stage: • Decanter World Wine Awards: Pošip Nerica from Nerica Winery has won silver and bronze medals at this competition, which is a great honor given the competition. 3. Pošip Merga Victa (Merga Victa Winery) - This relatively new winery on Korčula has won several awards for its Pošip: • Decanter World Wine Awards: Merga Victa Pošip won a bronze medal at this prestigious competition. 4. Korta Katarina Pošip - A wine from the Korta Katarina Winery, which also produces high-quality Pošip: • Concours Mondial de Bruxelles: This Pošip won a silver medal at this renowned international wine competition. And those are just wines from Korcula...
@@GoranRadic Unfortunately, the creators of the video came with the prejudice that Croatia is part of the "Balkans" simply because it is close to Balkan countries like Bosnia, or because of the similarity of the language. However, I believe their perception has changed. This is also evident in the number of tourists. While Croatia is the 6th most visited country in the EU and the 15th most visited in the world, the Balkan countries are not even in the top 100. If everything were so similar, people would probably visit Bosnia and Serbia, which are 2-3 times cheaper than Croatia and have the same experience. P.S. I like Bosnia, Sarajevo ❤️. I like the food. People in Croatia like Bosnian food and culture. Croatians adore Bosnian sense of humour. But it is not the sam as Croatia.
I'm curious to know if Prince Harry ordered champagne for €96,000 when he was on Hvar. Or if Beyoncé, Jay-Z, the Beckhams, the Ecclestones, Oprah Winfrey, Jeff Bezos, Eva Longoria, Ellen DeGeneres, Harrison Ford, Orlando Bloom, Angelina Jolie, or any of them did when they were in Croatia.
