Hi I know you asked someone else but I wanna tell you that I jjust made this cardigan , and don’t worry I’m also a beginner I made two of these cardigans one for my mom and one for me it was my first ever big project so it’s okay you should trust yourself and start the project even if you do tiny mistakes it’s fine as a beginner , just try to figure out stuff I would say if you are a medium size person I did share some measurements for it you can make it on that basis hope that’s helps

I really like your method of measuring every sides with a measuring tape because honestly most of the time it’s hard to keep track of how many rows I have done so far and it would get so confusing to count. So big thank you! 🥰

For everybody asking how much skein of yarn is used so for a medium size cardigan I used about 600 grams of yarn , I’m 5.1 height person I made the length as 21 inches with border , I started by making 79 stitches with a (5.0mm) hook so for all the people trying to figure out the sizes this is a guide for a medium size person and if you wanna make a large one increase up to 10,15 stitches for it , I made two of these cardigans one for myself and one for my mom which was an X-Large size

helloooo I'm Italian and I hope I have understood everything. So I write all the numbers, I hope I didn’t get it wrong. 😅
- Back panel size: 65 chains and 12,5 cm height.
- two panels forward: 25 chains and 12,5 height.
- Sleeves: 50 chains and 18 height.
- Cuffs: 9 chains and 7,5 height.
- bottom ribbing: 8 chains and long 32 cm
- Around neck: 7 chains and long 38,5 cm.

Just wondering, how do measure the correct amount for the bottom and neck ribbing??
@@maddisynfayth716 I made a chain of 7 for the neck and a chain of 8 for the bottom and then crocheted until I reached 32 1/2 in. for the bottom and 38 1/2 in. for the neck. And I used a measuring tape to make sure it was the right length! I hope that helped. :)

@@diksha5594 It took me a couple tries to get the front panels right but after that, it went pretty smoothly! It was hard at first but once my hands got used to it, it was fun and easy! I think you should try this! Find some other videos to help you when you get stuck. That’s what I did. :)

She crocheted 23 for a small I am a size large so I doubled the amount to 43 chains I up the amount by 10 more chains to see and if it's small I chain 10 more and then I would hold the chain against the front of me because its the front panel

Hello! I bought the written instructions thinking it would go over how to make bigger sizes, I need a medium. How many chains would I do? The video doesn’t say how to measure or how to figure that out??
hi im a size med too, and sit with the same problem, did you figure it out?
@@jadalade no she never responded, wrote her on insta too. However I started making another cardigan instead but I from what I have learned so far the chain is typically the length or height of what your making so like for a sleeve you would chain until it was long enough for your arm (shoulder to just above the wrist) and then each row is the width so keep going until it goes around your arm nicely, make extra rows so it’s baggy like hers.
Same for the back panel. Keep making rows and you can place it against your back until it’s as long as you want it. I’m super new to crochet so don’t take my word for it lol
