  • On Monday, The Athletic reported news of Bayern Munich’s attempt to take Oliver Glasner from Crystal Palace for a huge sum. Palace reportedly wanted £100m for their head coach.
The interest is credit to the remarkable job Glasner has done since succeeding Roy Hodgson just three months ago, with the Austrian coach bringing Palace to safety in style - but the big question is: can the club keep hold of their star players and their manager this summer?
Ayo Akinwolere is joined by Matt Woosnam and Dominic Fifield to discuss how possible it is for stars like Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze to remain in south London

Palace have at least 5 players that, if sold, they should be getting £70m plus for in Guéhi, Doucouré, Eze, Wharton and Olise. I think we’re guaranteed to see at least one go this summer, but it would release a lot of funds to reinvest straight back into the team and keep the trajectory moving on upwards.

Both Eze and Olise are on 4 year deals ... we are not a selling club or will need to ... if anything we could sell ghehi , Edward , Tomkins , Holding , Jario ... Add a few and we will push for Europe ... don't be fooled that Glasner didnt get assurance that we wouldn't sell our best players ... the team can see what we can achieve why would they not want to be part of it next season and push for Europe ... Palace are moving forward in every department than any other club in the Premiership ... watch this space ❤️🦅💙

Eze is skillful and tricky on the ball. I’m not saying he is on the same level, but he can do skill moves, just like Ronaldinho, Neymar, Figo, Mahrez or Hleb could do skill moves.
What amazing about Eze is that he can also be a playmaking wide player at the same time, similar to BernardoSilva, Foden, ColePalmer or DavidSilva. Again, I’m not saying he is on the same level, but he can be that type of player.
Martinelli and Saka need space to run into. Against a low block, they lack Ronaldinho/Neymar magic to dribble through tight spaces. And I don’t think they are Spanish enough to be a wide playmaker.
The fact that Eze could do both, with good decision making, strength, pace and defensive contribution, is extremely incredible.

. Don't be ungrateful. Eze is a god. He either scores or makes the next man score. He is not selfish like Olise and thats the truth. Calling him wasteful is nonsense cos he is a natural dribblers and dribblers take risks and the risks are not for them alone, they take those risks to find a better positioned player to give the ball to. The only problem i see in Eze is not being fast enough especially in marking and winning the balls. Aside that Eze is PERFECT. Mareta said England coach should pick Eze if he wants to win anything. And that's the truth. Eze knows how to win a match easily.

Franca will take Eze’ position, and then we’d have to sign a left footed Brazilian, that’s a similar age and mentality as France, in place of Olise. We need that natural chemistry in the replacements that Eze and Olise currently have.
