No module named distro in pop os so I used pip install distro. Somehow I got that error fixed. But I had a dependency issue that specified the need for dependency cups-deval. So I used sudo apt-get -f install hplip and thank you.

Well, thank you for your comment...it at least made me aware that I had the driver already installed. Still no idea what's wrong with my grandfather's printer but at least I know it's probably mostly kind of not the driver...

Wenn er Drucker mit dem USB verbunden ist, muss man in der Druckeinstellung den Drucker tauschen.
