The little hat that Akane (Drummer) is wearing was originally intended for MISA (Bassist). MISA thought the hat made her look silly & Akane teased her about it by saying she thought the hat looked cute. So MISA tossed the hat to Akane & told her, if she thought it was cute she should wear it then. The rest as they say....

To watch MISA switch from picking to slapping then back to picking flawlessly is like a magician. She is one of the bast bassist on the planet. She rocks on every song.

The names you haven't learned yet are Kanami Tono on lead guitar (also the songwriter), Akane Hirose on drums, and Miku Kobato on rhythm guitar (band founder, second vocalist, band lyricist, spokesperson, and 810 year old pigeon). The lead vocalist who's taking a break during all this is Saiki Atsumi.
I read Akane is also in charge of the band organization

@@kernelpanic5198 I think that Akane (drummer) was the band manager in the beginning because she was the most level headed. But I think now they take turns doing that job.
Took any LIVE video from Band-Maid you can´t go wrong, they have round about 100 songs and there is not even one boring or bad song... So took whatever you want, nice reaction and Greetings from Germany!

For some dudes who can rock, try Ningen Isu, a three-piece doom metal band who have been rocking for over 30 years and still going stronger than ever today.
Their song Heartless Scat is a good place to start.

Band Maid just brings it. These ladies are very talented and their personalities and live show are incredible.. Deserve to be better known.
Band-Maid, The Warning, and Jinjer are my top groups. I've heard everything they've all done numerous (1,000's) of times (even B-M Live), but still can't get enough of 'em! My Warning tickets got canceled by damn COVID, so please people, do your part to keep everyone safe until it passes so these groups and others can quickly perform live again.
In a resent interview MISA said that she creates her bass lines from the music sent (internet) by Kanami. Those bass line pretty much remain the same to the end. Once all of them have worked with the song individually they go into the studio to finalize the end version, with Saiki making the call as too when the song is done.
Check out Aldious (female) or One OK Rock (male), still Japanese.
Great reaction! Lead guitarist is Kanami (Kah-nah-mee). Rhythm guitar/lyricist is Miku (Mee-Koo). Drummer is Akane (Ah-kah-ney. Vocals is Saiki (Sah-ee-kee but is pronounced as psyche). Stay safe and keep reacting to BAND-MAID! Try Domination live if you haven't. It's from February 14 2020.
I was lucky enough to see these fine musicians in LA last September 30th and have been a fan since January 2017. Not only did l get to watch them play for nearly two hours but l stood between MISA and Miku and at times they were literally close enough to touch. They are flat out amazing. Words fail but know that the ONLY band throughout the entire history of rock music l personally consider better is a group of four scousers who called it quits back in 1970. And, quite frankly, if that band from Liverpool had not had the insane success that they had l doubt there ever would have been a Band-Maid or any other rock n roll band. Bold words? Yes, indeed. But they are that damned good and with over 90 quality songs recorded in 7 years extremely prolific. During the pandemic they have been doing crowdless concerts. I have watched the first two and have enjoyed the first two shows. The show costs about $14 US and you can archive it for 48 hours. There will be three more live streams upcoming. So well worth the money. Sacramento loves Band-Maid and with damn good reason. Regards.

That fluidly Misa changes from pick to slapbass.....You have to check out Asterism /Rising Moon another awesome bassplayer and out of this world guitarplayer... instrumental!
One of the glories of Band Maid is that they have mega talented drummer and bass player and you can hear them. And they are so worth hearing - creative, interpretive just brilliant. And they in turn are so fortunate to have Kanami as composer an lead guitar.

The Guys are out there, Ningen Isu are brilliant, Greta Van Fleet rock hard despite people hating on them for having a singer who sounds like Robert Plant (how that's a negative I have no idea.) and Eskimo Cowboy are ripping it up in Europe. Also not rock but great are The Dead South
There's a couple of mixed groups too, Nightwish (Obviously), Lacuna Coil, Halestorm are all well established, but some newcomers on The Warning level are Unleash the Archers, Motion device (Both Canadian), and there are a number of Other Japanese Bands, Aldious, Fern Planet, and Trident that rock hard.

Yes, the ladies are kicking tail in Japan, you've got Band Maid, LOVEBITES, Aldious, DollBoxx, Mary's Blood, Trident, even Baby Metal (although not musicians), etc.. You also have ladies in Japanese bands with guys and gals that are also kicking ass: Maximum the Hormone, Asterism, D-Drive. You have up and coming ladies that are displaying amazing talent on their instruments of choice, Yoyoka, Junna, Lisa-X, etc.
