I watch your videos frequently, I love them! My husband was diagnosed 9 years ago. I have watched him go through many changes. He rarely talks about his feelings. He gets angry, impatient and isolates. Your videos have helped me to understand him more than you’ll ever know. I am a better caregiver and wife because of you! My growing capacity to understand him, remain calm and patient, truly helps him to remain calm and patient also. Thank you and God bless you!! C.G. from Sterling, VA
Hi Candace. Thank you for your kind words, encouragement, and for sharing a bit of your Parkinson's world. Comments like yours are what pick me up and brighten my day greatly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.💗😊😁😃
God is teaching me to quit asking why Parkinson’s. But what Parkinson’s. Meaning what is the purpose of Parkinson’s in my life. He’s showing me He’s teaching me humility and reliance on Him. Parkinson’s is making me rely on the Lord more and more. To live with peace in the midst of this chaos called Parkinson’s. Proverbs 3:5-6 is our anchor for the storm of Parkinson’s. Romans 10:9.
Great video David! You have such a great attitude about this "gift of Parkinsons". You hit two of my weak areas...being thankful and patience. Im working on them. Thank you for sharing.
Well. Patience, accepting help, asking for help are all signs of wisdom. Since you put it that way, I have not been wise. This Parkinson's is my life lesson - teaching humility, making me vulnerable and not so prideful in asking for help. A bunch of hard lessons. Thank You for making these points; I wouldn't have figured out the some of the bigger picture. North Carolina, USA
Hi just a great video. My hubby was diagnosed with parkinsons last year and like you he went from being super fit to not able to do all that he used to do. He is at the stage where he just hates his life now. He is mourning his old life. I just wish like you he could find his passion something that he is super interested in. We are stuck and don't know how to get out of this quicksand we are in. Hopefully with God's help we will get there. Thank you so much for your inspiring videos. You are amazing.
Hi Mary, thank you for sharing about your husband. I am sure his pain runs deep. I went through a mourning period as well as about of depression and extreme anxiety. I understand. I hope you guys get the help you need.😊😁😃
You are an inspiration.you never need to apologize for your opinions. Keep up the good work each time I hear these types of things are great reminders for me to stay grateful it is a key to happiness
Always gotta look for the good and keep a positive attitude. I thank Jesus every day for the life he's given me and I just try to make the best of each day. Of course you can allow yourself to reflect and maybe drop a few tears....but don't stay in that place. Great advice as always!
Hi Michele, I agree, we need to accept the good as well as the bad. We always need to look for purpose amidst suffering, and thank Jesus for what we have.😊😁😃
You're looking good! Your voice is nice and strong and your attitude is so encouraging. THANK YOU ❤. Like I have said to you before, you not only encourage my Fiancé and I (he has early onset PD) but you help me so much with my deathly grief after losing my beautiful, perfect son Branson. Just 14 years old. He would have turned 17 on 9/11 😢
Hi Jenne, you are most welcome. I am very grateful to connect with you and share our common grief. I know exactly how you feel about Branson, it is overwhelming at times, I am sure. 💗
Wow. Beautiful humble message! Most of us will have or do have health problems. We are on earth for a short time. I’m listening to a message on David in the Bible 2 Samuel 7. David prayed and Thanked God in all situations even when the answer was no or not yet, this is a reminder for me.
Pushback? Eyes and ears and the brain of any loving soul would move with great speed to understand the soil - or lack thereof - that a thought or attitude like that would spring from! This posting is a pinacle (sp?) piece, Dave...but as you well know, there are more mountains to climb. What a meaningful, thoughtful start to my day. Thank you for this.❤
Hi Rose. Thank you for your kind encouragement, sincerity, and empathy. There are many more mountains to climb. This video just came out all on its own. The next mountain will produce another. The human condition demands it.😊😁😃💗
Good morning from Devon England! What a very open minded talk about what life is like with PD. It has helped me to see that Pakinson's is an exciting new path every day. Thank you.
Hi Barbara, good morning. My mother in law is a Liverpool fan, my father in law is an Everton fan, things can get exciting during premier league season!😊😁😃
I would not have taken care of my wife who died of Parkinson's after 22 years so well, without the help of 2 PD support groups one group just for family caregivers and one for patients and caregivers. When Covid 19 hit us so very hard in 2020 the two hospitals in my city stopped those important groups led by PD specialist nurses or social workers and sadly they never resumed. I can't say enough when friends or family become the Parkinson's caregivers 24/7 the importance we had in PD support groups of sharing not only emotional events but tips such as putting brigh colored strips of tape on the floor to help referance the very next step one should take if in a freeze and holding one with arms locked in such a way that the PD person can't fall down when walking in the street. I miss our caregiver's group's and hope many watching your excellant videos will not only benefit from your ideas but encourage your PD care teams to start a support group at clinic. PD is so unique to each person it demands much personal input . Thank you.
Hi Michael, I agree, support groups are very important. Community love and support is vital to navigate the minefield of this chronic illness. Thank you for sharing.😊😁😃
I hope you are well. Visiting your channel I have seen your all videos and content are very good but your video SEO optimization is not professional. Perhaps you are busy for managing the channel.
