I don’t understand how people can be so hardheaded about this stuff. The first time I was taught the difference between mint errors and environmental damage I understood what I was learning and I moved on to the next thing to learn. I guess you can never underestimate someone’s desperation to want to strike it rich quick.
A couple of those quarters remind me of a fad MANY years ago when I was in Jr High. (60s). We would take quarters, use a spoon, pond the edges around and around until flat, then drill out middle to size needed to fit someone's finger, smooth/file as needed, sell for a buck. The girls lived them, guys wanted for their "steadies". I made a few bucks ! Thx for the memories Daniel. 👍🏻
These coins are very cool to me... I collect post mint damaged (Mechanically Damaged ) coins and have been collecting them for years .... I truly like how similar they can be and at the same time different.... SO COOL
I always thought that some of them (rolled ones) were someone trying to make a ring
out of them. I have washed enough of them to know what those look like. A great video
on learning what they look like. Enjoy your weekend, Daniel. ☺☺
These are not just washed but stuck in the mechanism.
Huh?
3:58 That's a memorial penny, you can tell by the reverse design. Steel cents had the wheat backs! 😉
This is a great channel!
That answers my question. I have a Mercury dime with a thicker smooth edge, and was wondering about it.
I haven't seen so many mint error coins in one place 😂😂 thanks my friend
Interesting video. Hopefully, people do their research before buying anything. Thanks for sharing, Daniel. 👍👍
I know an appliance repairman. He digs coins out of machines that look like some that Daniel has.
Thank you Daniel! Always informative
A steel memorial cent? I'm only familiar with the wartime issues. Did you hit it with a magnet yet? Thanks for the cool video and topic.

There is no such thing as a steel memorial cent. You will never find one.
@@doughensley6202 It was meant to be more of a question as to he is clearly holding a memorial cent, and asking if it is steel. I figure he would know better, unless he didn't look at the reverse when holding it for the camera. 3:55.
Gives a whole new meaning to money laundering
What option is there anymore for getting replacements for damaged coins since the mint stopped that program? Are we just screwed? I've gotten a lot of zinc pennies that must have sat in water and are partially eaten away, but others too.
Dryer job coins.
Good luck!
Daniel, if you get this what about machine doubling, hub doubling & strike doubling that's not a double died that you can see by the naked eye?
Or so obviously/3 time's in one setting?
Thanks Daniel. Nice tutorial video !
Would be nice if in focus.
Wow, gracias
Good video Daniel, thanks
I think it's a mechanical damage during minting process
Hence some other sellers in eBay they sell them 🤦
It is not, all of these are post mint damaged and found in dryers at laundromats. Almost no ebay seller, selling mint errors, know what they're doing or they're just crooks trying to sell damaged coins as mint errors. Ebay is not a good mint error resource. Use error-ref.com
Good evening Daniel from Maryland. How are you Daniel?
All those pennies on the train tracks must be human errors
Accidental or purposeful post mint damage, not errors of any kind.
IT'A CLEAR THESE COINS ARE MUTILATED/ DAMAGED!!
Absolutely. Lol. I'm sorry but that's funny man. I get what ur saying
That’s a real nice collection
House fires. I seen the video the other day the dude had a clump of coins from a house fire
That's not what this is.
Dang this is John I was just wanting to ask have you ever seen a 1955 wheat penny aluminum comment on it if you don’t mind thanks
Y do u have so many damaged coins
He uses these damaged coins to teach people what the difference is between damaged coins and mint errors
@@kristinebailey86 u don't need a hundred
I have some very strange coins I submitted to pcgs to figure out what they are.
Wrong way to get Laundered Money.
Sweet.
Those look way to buffed up to be error coins . Mind u up til yesterday I though usa coins when flipped from left to right where upside down cause the canadian currency is left to right not right turned and the face is upside down . Is there a 1955 one cent that looks like it has hay or wheat on the sides of the US one cent opposite side says liberty and it has a small 1 and 955 is almost twice the Size to make 1955 with D under it ?? Any help is much appreciated . I'm from Canada and ebay etsy Google all tell me different prices
U got wheat pennies and didn't show them
Those coins look like they were in a house fire, and someone found them like in a coffee can or something, just my opinion.
They’re not, they come from someone who worked in old dryers and washers and found them in the machines.
@CoinHELPu That's good to hear, as my response was inaccurate as that's my opinion only. An honest person was what I like. I have error paper notes and would like to get your honest opinion on. Hopefully, we can communicate going forward. I will look up your email and respond, thanks again 🙂
You have to use our coinhelpu community for help like that.
@CoinHELPu ok thank you
