Dude, Clinton was the anti funk in this music…a worthless useless piece of crap in this musical session. No talent, No feel except for his own useless ass.
One thing I appreciate still is my ex buying the first parliament album in the U.k..from Spin Inn Manchester.Hooked and still playing 40 years later Phenomenal Pure talent.Glen,Gary, and the boys.Thank you Mr.Clinton for sharing with the world.x
Mothership Connection is my favorite song of all time. Probably have listened to this song thousands of times original, live, remixed, etc. This rendition was even new for me in July of 2019 - Wowwwwwww. It kind of started out uninspired, but it reallyyyyy picked up by the time they got to Swing Down Sweet Chariot. P-funk4life
GC is essentially an emcee in these jams. It really is sort of early hip hop. Like a Busy Bee or Mele Mel before the brag rhymes. If you listen to a Furious Five tape from this era it's very similar
From @ 0:05 till @ 20:00 . Every fukcin syllable 🎼 🎶 is goated 🐐 .. Today is May 29 2032 .. I choose that year because that’s my retirement projected year and I’m going to revisit this on that day and year with a mist biggest mothership blunt 💨 ⛽️🙏🏿
This is the most significant musical assemblage of the last 50 yrs. I can't figure out how it worked. Was Bernie the orchestral director ? He could be anything, I know, including the child prodigy he was ! ( RIP). The coordination among them is killer. Someone mentioned missing Glen Goins. He will forever be the "Mothership Evangelist", no question. But P-nut( RIP) and the guys whose names I don't know; the guy with the hat and that bass voice took me to "funk- gospel church"! No slight intended. Lastly, George plays his part beautifully.
Wish I was in Passaic New Jersey 11/6/1978 The Capital Theater this is rocken makes me want to move my booty snuggle up with a Nubian Queen from Jersey hanging from Jersey City ridden on down to Passaic Monroe St the tin pan alley grooven down low and slow wakeup fool they burnen down the house miss my homie Chris Harris and the Whale both from Hackensack THE MUSIC WILL NEVER DIE... right on
Rick was good but he was a clone he copied th he p and everything but George had the best of the best in his groups I mean in 78 he had two established keyboard players Bernie and Junie, he had mike Hampton, blackbyrd, Garry shider, and Eddie hazel off and on then he had sexy sirens the brides, parlet and Jessica cleaves then he had bootsy, skeet. Boogie mosson, with Fred, maceo sorry you couldn't funk with George in the mud to late 70s you just couldn't all rick , prince could do is imitate every new song I hear whether its future, Nicki minaj , or young thug I'm like p funk already done that outkast , ceelo all of them influenced by the p snoop copied from day one so did nwa, dre, cube when they went solo cameo, gap band copied George even influenced whiteboys like the chili peppers, Beastie boys, and primus.
Eh, there’s a difference between emulation and appreciation. You can tell when an artist is influenced and genuinely appreciates where thier sound came from, and blatant copying. Prince, Snoop, and chilli peppers definitely have their own sound for sure and while a few songs may be more so influenced none of them are rip-offs in any sense of the word.
Rick copied the p he used to hang around he was a wannabe he was really pissed because George wouldn't give him a record deal and plus George owe rick some money for a drug deal gone bad
The only that you can compare both artist Rick James vs. George Clinton & funkadelic P-Funk All Stars if you where living during that era late 70's/ early 80's and saw the live shows to make a fair comparison otherwise it's disingenuous.
+lothguvnor Glenn was gone by this time. This was the "Anti-Tour" promoting the ONE NATION UNDER A GROOVE album. Money was starting to dry up for Clinton. The last big tour was to promote MOTOR BOOTY AFFAIR album in the Spring of 1979.
Crazy, that album didn't come out til 4 years later. Maybe George caught em playing it live or something. Most likely PFunk inspired David Byrne and friends, either that or they got it from the same place, idk.
@@newusernamehere4772 I think Bernie Worrel worked with Talking Heads for a bit, so.. i'm thinking the influence was George /Pfunk--> Bryne/ Talking Heads & Tom Tom Club. Cool stuff either way.
That horns section so great with this great band onthis tune wow

Never ever say ,” hell yeah! “
co za koncert!
Oni wszyscy byli dobrze "nagrzani"... ale muzyka.. coś wspaniałego:) pozdrawiam;)
And Rick James thought that he was better than George Clinton and the P-Funk all-stars? I don't think so.
JellyBean2144 he was probably high when he said it, so i'm not hating!! but we all know better!!!
Rick copied the p he used to hang around he was a wannabe he was really pissed because George wouldn't give him a record deal and plus George owe rick some money for a drug deal gone bad
GOTTA PAY THEM DUDES TO DR FUNKENSTEIN!!!!!!! AND NOT FEEL NO TYPE A WAY

i have my doubts about the year of this ,only because Glenn Goins isn't doing his legendary vocals here!
