Breath of the Wild is tough because it’s not a game built for RUclips videos. It’s meant to be savored and explored and so the cuts necessary would draw away from the beautiful reveals of simply experiencing it. It’s one of my favorite artistic pieces of all time and I can’t wait for Tears of the Kingdom.

It’s a masterpiece of game that deserves the awards and praise. But I agree with you that BOTW loses a lot of its charm just watching it- still looking forward to seeing Hollow play a lot of it.
Like any game, it has flaws and the things like the breaking weapons turn a lot of people off it. There’s that as well.
When I first played BOTW I actually quit within like 2 hours cause I just wasn't feeling it. I then came back to it a couple months later and gave it another try and wow! I can't believe I ever quit. I ended up getting completely hooked on the game and it became one of my favorite open world games ever. Just the sounds give me so much nostalgia. I wish I could play it for the first time all over again.

There really is no best or worst game, it's all a matter of opinions.
Advice
1. Get rid of the lower level weapons before any higher ones, there is no "upgrading"
2. Whistling alerts monster
3. Fear the blood moon
4. You have to keep soothing the horse and get it to 100%
5. The guardians that are dead, usually have ancient items
6. Check every rock, every suspicious thing, it might have a korok
7. Impa is the one that teaches you zeldas lullaby in oot
8. To Break those rocks, use a hammer

@@GooseGaming999 I only use hammers to break the ore that is on cliffsides, otherwise I do the same and use bombs.
Shout out to Hollow, one of the most reliable and super chill content creators. It's awesome that we get full series' of games from you when you got other people on RUclips who start a series and never finish it.
Would LOVE to see a series on this. So much joy and memories from key moments have stemmed from this game alone. The only thing that could be a struggle is the puzzles itself, but other than that, a top 10 game I’ve ever played. Hopefully you can come to enjoy this game as much as I did! ❤

Doing my first play through now! My last Nintendo console was the 64(Started on the NES). The controllers became weird and I went to PlayStation. My first Zelda game was Ocarina of time on the 64. Just now got the OLED Switch because I figured it's going to be some time before they give the Switch two a better screen like they did for the Switch. So now I'm going to go through and play the Zelda games on Switch. I've also been messing around on Luigi's Mansion. Plus I've recently bought TWD to play through again. I'm stoked to have so many games to play.

Tips for fighting Guardian’s. Their weak spots are their eyes and underneath.
Depending on the type of shield, you can deflect the beam right back at them by timing your parry. Search old guardians for ancient springs.

This is already one of my favorite playthroughs of the game. would love to see more! Lemme give you 2 tips,
-all those gems you're finding (Amber, opal) can be sold to make money easily, and later you'll need them to enhance your clothes.
-while cooking, do not mix two different effects together, they will cancel each other out.

Hollow, you should mess around with the cooking system. it’s almost endless, the possibilities. There are so many things about this game it doesn’t tell you, so make sure you try every theory you have bc it could work! Exploring is the #1 thing you want to do and what you will do for most of the game. Do not RUSH the story please. Take your time and find all the hidden mechanics and treasure you can. Breath of the Wild was my introduction back into gaming since I was a child. Since then I've bought an Xbox Series S and PS5 and I'm well and truly back into gaming. I love the trip down memory lane watching you play this game. Pls pls pls continue with the series. Absolutely loving it. Thank you for sharing
I can easily listen to people talk about this game all day. Best game I've ever played and I grew up with OOC and LTTP. It's just so emotionally powerful and beautiful. I feel like you could explore this world for months and years and still miss something. Just a 10 / 10 masterpiece. ❤️
If I were you. I’d work on completing the map and getting a bunch of shrines done to upgrade your stamina and hearts. Farm dragons for their horns gives you a 30 min real time buff with any buff meals you make such as hasty and attack. For high level haste, farm for fleet lotus seeds and swift violets. Cook 4 of them together with a dragons horn (can only hold 5 items per recipe)You’re set. Try to find high stat horses, and send them to a stable you can only hold 5 horses. Go to Hateno village and find Bolton. I also suggest that you go and find majoras mask, so when the time comes to find Robbie’s lab in the Akkala region…to light the blue furnace, there are a lot of enemies. Moblin, bokoblins, and lizalfos will not harm you if you are wearing majoras mask. So wear that when you do the mission to find Robbie. The mask is found at the kolomo garrison ruins. But it is a DLC so you need to have that first in order to collect the mask
All the amber and gems like that you can sell for rupees which will be very valuable for buying gear especially the winter gear later. As far as cooking you can cook all spicy peppers for cold resistance and or anything with heart in the name if you cook those will give you temporary extra hearts. Later in the game when you explore death mountain there’s oktorocs that you can throw the rusty weapons in there path and they’ll suck them up and spit them out repaired but that’s a while from now
I’ve played every Zelda game,Just started playing Breath of the wild this year…..Because I was busy with other games and family obligations. I gotta say at almost 250 hours in this game so far 😂It’s one of Nintendos masterpiece’s….I love this game so much
I really hope you commit to it and people enjoy watching it. It's genuinely one of my favorite games of all time and I place it (in my personal opinion and games that I played) with RDR2, gohst of tsushima, and both of the new god of wars.

You need to collect those Korok seeds, you can give them to Hestu and it will expand your weapon inventory. :) Oh and look out for maxi fish, maxi fruit and I think maxi shrooms. If you cook it into a meal and eat it, it increases the number of your hearts. You'll have more stamina fighting strong opponents.

This would be the tail end of the Zelda timeline. They make several references to it and speak of things in other games as if they were legends passed down for a long time. Many of the places are named after characters in other games, such as the Tingle islands. If you look, Lon Lon Ranch is still in ruins in the middle of Hyrule field, and Castle town is still around the Temple of Time, just like in Ocarina. Enjoy sir.

So glad you're finally playing this game and experiencing all it's awesomeness for yourself! As for what to sell: horns and fangs (keep 5 or so of each), sapphires, rubies and whatever you have excess of. Keep luminous stones, opals, amber and ancient parts though. Crafting food is also important as it gives you special abilities that you otherwise miss. Try combining 1 shroom (any type), 1 apple, 1 hyrule herb and 1 hearty ingredient (truffle, durian, etc.).

You've been replacing your strongest weapons with weaker weapons throughout the whole video. The first number on your weapons is the strength of the weapon you have equipped. The game then compares that to the strength of the weapon you either have highlighted in the menu or one you're trying to pick up.
Its so interesting to see how Hollow tackled the shrines' puzzles. Thats what I like about watching Breath of the Wild playthroughs, its as if I'm experiencing the game again for the first time but through someone else's point of view 🤩
The plateau section of the game is the best trial, learning, trying, exploring section of a game that I have ever played...
TIPS!
Feed your horses fruit and they will grow fonder of you faster.
Stones are worth good rupees so sell them with no problem.
Cook different meals and keep a good amount on you. This will help you replenish a lot more hearts than single items.
All weapons you find will eventually break so don’t hesitate on throwing them away. You’ll find more and more in your travels.

highly recommend to do side quests and explore the map because it will come in handy for the future and you can get Links sword earlier than the projected time in the game you just need a lot of hearts

hey hollow! so glad to see you playing this. you asked a few times what to do with opals and things of the like- you sell them! you can use them for other things way later in the game, but it’s basically free money. no spoilers but those are actually some of the more inexpensive gems- you get more. be on the look out for salt also cuz it helps you cook!
as for cooking- truffles are a huge help in the early game!!! they give you extra hearts once cooked. and for potions, add things like bobo horns, bugs, etc into a pot and see what you come up with!
i’ve also been screaming at you to use the bombs on the black rocks for ores, haha

This game doesn’t even really start till you exit the plateau with the glider. So I hope you keep playing because this game has soooo much to offer! Would it be a very long series…yes. Would it be worth that time and effort?…YES

I'd love to see this turn into a series if you think you'll continue to play it. I found selling the opals, ambers, and other precious stones to be a great way to gain currency for yourself quickly, and i honestly didn't use the stones for much else until later in the game. They are also easy to mine with a sledgehammer, and the black stone deposits respawn after a while in-game, and can be found all throughout the map so they are easy to farm. I hope you continue to enjoy your experience in BOTW ❤🧚♂️

2:15:34 Just wanted to say that the number next to the weapon represents its attack damage value. The dash you see next to the numbers when you encounter a new weapon is the comparison between the currently equipped weapon’s attack damage vs. The new weapon encountered. You dropped your Farmer’s Hoe which had 16 attack points to free up space in your inventory to pick up a sword that had 14 attack points. - 2 attack points less. I’m not sure if that was on purpose or not, so I just wanted to drop a comment. Cheers!! 🤟

You can find korok seeds that you can give to hestue or whatever his name is to increase inventory. Also it’ll be good to grab stamina after getting four orbs at least once early on and then focus on heart containers until you get 13 to pull master sword

quick tip, when sprinting whistle for your horse and spam sprint to sprint without using stamina

make sure to read the special effects that raw ingredients have, you’ve been mixing ones that have 2 different buffs: attack+, defense+, speed+, stealth+, stamina+, heat resist, cold resist, shock resist, xtra hearts, xtra stamina. and sell all your gems early for easy $$. also, drop all rusty weapons for any better ones, the #’s indicate damage for each weapon. ps, hold an apple in your hand around your horse & some throw some meat on the ground to the dogs around the stables
