when you laid down I was cheering for you. I was so satisfied to see you using it. well done!
All jokes aside, I would really like to make a homemade mat with him! He knows how to weave!
I am from Honduras, i loved your work, here in my country it's name is "petate" it's wonderful. I would like you to teach us in another step-by-step video how to do it. thank you.
We also called here in the Philippines pitate,..haha
Petate is from "petatl"(náhuatl languaje), greetings from Mexico.
@@klawdyarv847 thanks for your apportation. Very important. Greeting !!
Thats what I call demonstration of skill great job!.
That's what we use in the province when I was young. We called it banig in the Philippines made from Abaka which is also can be use making rope.
that is made from pandanus leaf,,some of the pandanus trees can you see near by the river, and abaca is different, is just the same like a banana tree and anahaw leaf can also use banig and roof
ar archy there's another one we called buli not sure if I spelled it right.
ar archy ah OK😊
MGRACEKEINER skilled worker!
I know that this is kinda inane thing to say, but I find this rather soothing
It's not stupid at all! It's what I consider "unintentional ASMR". Totally normal. 🙂
Than you for sharing your talents with us, admire your craft and patience..Bless you!

I am in awe each time I see the art skills level and passionate work this man give to the world! BRAVO a thousand times again!
I never realized you start weaving these mats at the corner. This was very fascinating to watch! It must have taken a lot of time to finish it, it looks lovely.
I would love to have that pride of place in my livingroom, beautiful x
The mat comes together like magic, and it looks really nice. Mother nature provides us with so many different things we can eat or make things of. I am sure we could use other materials to make mats like this too, for example strings of cloth or rope. Thank you so much for teaching us this skill.
Thank for you comment, I Think so, It can use to many thing

Masha Allah, ang ganda mag Gawa Ng banig
incredibly beautiful result.
this IS NOT primitive technology..it is ancestral, traditional sustainable brilliant technology
I love your basic technology. Today everything's too high tech for comfort. Back to basics. :) This puts modern peoples knowledge to shame when it comes to knowing how to do something so basic. I wish that i knew how to do this . This takes some patiences, and that's something that lacking in the modern world too.
please reconsider yoiur perception of it as basic technology...it is brilliant, ingenious resourceful and sustainable technology
สุดยอด...Wow very good
Thank you so much. I would like to weave for my mat. Thank you for practical skill for survival.
In my country, they make mats from 15 yards to as big as 100 yards like this. Take alot of patience. Thank you for the video. Very good knowledge.

If that isn't considered work, I don't know what is...
Living the God life, *he meant a job*
i wish my knees were that good. a man and some people took some leaves and a small blade, using his feet to help, on the earth, in the stillness, to create such beauty. we are blessed. thank you

..in...Paraguay..
this object is delightful to look at. the plain weave on the bias and all the different shades of color, that makes it variegated yet every thing is from the same plant.
I don't know what I could use to make it in my country but I'm willing to practice with ribbons of paper or plastic just to get the hang of it.
the Siberians weave birch bark in a similar manner to make boxes, food containers, even boots.
Excellent tutorial! Thank you for the information 🙏 Liked and Pinned 😌
