Excellent presentation and content, Costas! Is it possible to use a Flight Mode as a virtual switch? I'd like to use entering a particular Flight Mode as a reset switch for a timer. Note that the Flight Mode I'd like to use is already triggered by a combination of Virtual Switches...

Hi Ron,
You dont use the actual flight mode as such to reset the timer. You use the same virtual switch that triggers the particular flight mode to also reset, start or stop the timer.
If you have more than one virtual switch to activate the same flight mode then you can add another virtual switch that combines both which can then reset the timer.
You could also do this with 3 or more switch combinations as well... The virtual switch options are pretty powerful and they allow you all sorts of switching options to trigger or activate something else.
I use this method in a similar way with most of my internal combustion models so that my main flight timer only starts/runs when actually taxing/flying and not while just in the pits starting or warming up the engine.

Shame on powerbox for not covering their own products as detailed as this. The atom has been out for a year and I’ve seen very little content on the thing.

Almost all other brands are pretty much the same - Many are worse and all rely on community support in some way or another. One thing you can count on is the overall product support from PowerBox is excellent - They always go out of their way to resolve any issues you may have.

How to setup as i want add gear and flap to the flightmode at the same time?

Setup a function for your gear.
Now go into the 'function curve' for that function (not the servo curve) and set single in the curve screen options for flight mode selection.
Now just make the rate value 0% for any flight modes where you do not want the gear to operate and rate=100% for the flight modes where you want the gear to work.
You can do the same with flaps etc.

Just enter the trim menu for the function you want eg Elevator and then select 'single' in the trim menu.
Now the trim for that function will be different for each flight mode.
