Excellent tutorial, just one thing in 3:08 its the actual switch position reversed compared to the screen or its designed like that for any other purpose?
Hi Oswaldo, well spotted. I sometimes play about with the transmitter too much... It has the option to change the switches to any switch you want (mechanically.... to have 2 position, 3 position, 2 position with spring, 2 position with lock...) and inside the radio you can select both what type of switch you have, and also which way round you installed it. It seems when playing with this feature I left it reversed, but it is a really fast fix.
Mr Pickering, Thank you very much, I help Emilio B in Ecuador with his jets and I was looking for the manuals and all the info to help him change everything to the PB Core that he just got in Jet Power, all your tutorials and videos are very helpful, the system looks very intuitive and user friendly so far, just saw the switch image similar to the 18MZ but had no idea of the reversing feature. Keep the great job and support to the RC community. Nice Flights Sir👍
@@rivaso40 Thanks Oswaldo! If you need anything, Emilio has my whatsapp, just shoot me a message! I am sure you will see that once playing with the radio for a few minutes, it is quite intuitive and not difficult when used to a 18Mz. Biggest difference is just to think in terms of FUNCTION inputs which apply to servo outputs (Eg: Aileron function is applied to servos 1,2, 7 & 8) rather than futabas way in which Receiver OUTPUTS controlled by sticks or switches (1 controlled by aileron, 2, controlled by aileron, 7 controlled by aileron, 8 controlled by aileron) hope that makes sense!
You can apply this same principal to any channel, even beyond the basic 4 flight controls, can even apply to flaps or any kind of surface or scale detail
Hi Sheldon, you can check out this over video I made at minute 17. The example is how to add Elevator to Flap input. You can make Crow in the same way by adding Aileron to the Flap input. Hopefully this makes sense, if not let me know! ruclips.net/video/QVMj1rvvXsU/видео.html
Hi Martin ; I tried to do a 3 FM on left slider.... but it is possible to have only 2 FM since when using sliders the radio only recognize full up and full down position, not the middle.....any suggestion?? Thanks
Hi Julio, you meaning Gyro FM or just general flying FM? Gyro has permanently 3 options, but if you only want to use two, you can always set FM2 and FM3 identical and it will effectively be just two...
@@MartinPickering-PickeringRC Thanks for your reply...I'm building a jet for a friend. He want to have 3 position flaps on the left slide, but also he want this 3 positions as a FM since he want independent elevator trims in the 3 flaps position..... I can do this easily on any switch but not on the slides......since the radio allows only 2 fm on the slides , full up and full down ... for some reason the middle position does not allow assigning any fm.......I don´t know maybe I´m missing something???.....Feliz Navidad by the way ;)
Martin, I'm quite new to Core, Love all your tutorials. I'm have a small issue with Flight Modes. I've got 3 flight modes for flaps on my Rebel Hot, but I can't get the "Fade In" function to work. I can change the values but when I activate the switch the elevator trim just jumps to the new position. i did notice on the top right-hand side of the screen it says "No Fade in Functions" but i can't seem to change this, I'm obviously missing something so any help would be appreciated
@@grover- no i did. i realise now that sometimes with certain people (even sometimes with me) youtube audio and video just craps out. i was using headphones and there was right and left audio. doesnt matter though lol
This was fantastic...
Thanks
JR had five flight modes with trims in 1998.
Hola te sigo eres muy claro en tus explicaciones pero no podrías hacer un video de la Atom en español gracias
Esta grabado y en proceso de ser editado! 1-2 semanas

Good tutorial. But this definitely doesn't make me regret going Jeti :P
Give it time... :-p
Should have had this before the radio was released.
Only elevetor has independent trim? Or also ailerons and Rudder?

guys i also have a really REALLY good tip!!! you should REALLY do what the model name tells you too! it really helps!!
Yesss!! Thanks dude!! Well spotted!!
Can you add a vid showing how to add crow to this?

Hi Neil, just in case, can you check if there are any updates available for your Core? Try that and let me know!
@@MartinPickering-PickeringRC it is the latest version
I figured it out, i had Elevator set on the No Fade In Function, once i switched it off the slow fade in worked perfectly
Could you make a version for right-eared people?
?
