My wife's favorite is a REAL strawberry shortcake. She does most of the baking while I do all of the cooking almost exclusively your recipes. Im going to surprise her tonight because🎉 41 years together and I still love cooking/ baking for her. Thanks, Chef!
"I makes mistakes so you guys don't do it!" 😂I LOVE Chef Jean Pierre! I could watch him all day and he makes it all look SO easy. His reaction when he tastes his own food at the end never fails to put a smile on my face!
Very few things in life is better than hearing "Well hello there friends". And a Sunday upload...Woohoo! I've been wanting a good strawberry sauce. I cannot wait to try. Thank you Chef!
Dang! That looks wonderful! [EDIT] My wife and I "invested" in a Kitchen-Aid (Hobart) mixer back when they were $300 in the early 1980's (when that was a chunk of change.) It remains what I consider the best investment in cooking utensils that we ever made. It has made more cookies, bread, cheesecakes, whipped cream, and other things I can't remember. But I bought a newer one for my daughter a couple of years ago, and the ones made overseas are not even comparable to the ones made back then in the USA.
If you bought a kitchenaid stand mixer that’s from overseas you bought a knock off. They’re made 2 miles from where I live in Ohio. In fact I can see their windmills from my house, and my sister is a group leader at the factory where literally every stand mixer in the world is made.
@@wendyaultman3252 Ours was purchased circa 1984, and sports both the "KitchenAid" and "Hobart" brands. Indeed, it was manufactured in Ohio. I bought one for my daughter for Christmas a few years ago, and though it functions, it is a piece of Chinesium junk compared to the American made one.
God Bless America, indeed. And God bless Chef Jean-Pierre! A perfect recipe and a perfect dessert for the upcoming Independence Day holiday. Thanks, Chef!
As always you have just the perfect dish for the setting! Going to take this to our family 4th July party! I cannot wait to hear all the comments and ooohs and aaaahs this will receive!
Everybody' has eaten strawberry shortcake - a round cake at the bottom of a bowl, topped with strawberries and whipped cream. Chef JP's takes strawberry shortcake to a new dimension. It is a bit time consuming to make, but well worth it. I assure you!
The timing of this recipe is perfect! My wife makes me strawberry shortcake for special occasions. But she's never been totally satisfied with the results from the recipe she was working with and has continued trying to fine-tune it. A few weeks ago she asked me if you ever made one so she could follow one of your recipes. Well here it is just a week before our 6th wedding anniversary! Thank you, Chef!
There are words you use that are not in last year's dictionary, but likely will be in next year's dictionary! I found that food tastes a whole lot better when using the cutting board. Thanks for introducing me to Limoncello as I not ever used it.
I'm probably the same age as Jean-Pierre, and have been a cooking enthusiast since childhood. In the last 20 years or so, I have been most impressed by the French techniques. Being good is simply not good enough. Strive for the spectacular, as does our favorite chef, Jean-Pierre. Life is too precious to do otherwise. Merci, mon ami.
Hello new friend. 🔔🔔Wow this looks so delicious. I’d love to have this in the morning afternoon or dinner anytime of the day I’ll take it. Thank you for such a yummy and refreshing dessert recipe. Enjoy your family and God bless.🙏🔔💕😋🌏
Hello Chef, I am on a holiday vacation in Provence. We have been in Aix today and visited the markets. Now I understand. If you grow up here, you have no other choice than become a great Chef like you.
Imagine my surprise and delight, to see my favorite show, on my favorite day, on how to make my favorite dessert!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Chef & Jack show!!!!!🤪🤪🤪😜😜♥️♥️♥️😍😍😍😍😍😘
J'ai liké sans même regarder la vidéo.. Rien que de voir l'introduction j'ai adoré.. J'adore les tartelettes à la fraise 🍓🍓😋😋😋. Merci pour la recette. Je vais épater avec cette superbe recette. Merci 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I love the way J.P presents all his videos with the comedian vibes embellished within his expertise as a very skilled and accomplished chef I totally love watching him work he is a fantastic skilled personality! 👏👏
My 6 yr old daughter with ADHD sat and watched this all the way through. Thank you for inspiring her. Fyi she's never sat so quietly she even shushed me so she could hear everything you said.
I adore strawberry shortcake. I live for it once spring begins. Can’t wait for the berries to begin! Our garden is rife with rows and rows of 3 strawberry varieties, 3 raspberry varieties, which are allll ripening now daily, I’m in my kitchen delicately washing and (eating) and freezing quarts of them this week, freezing them on sheet pans like little rocks, then bagging them for future desserts or jam or syrup. My blueberries are overwhelming LOL we have too many bushes, but neighbors enjoy them, and blackberries grow wild on our land so they’re everywhere (bears love them..) and marionberries, salmon berries - and our veg garden is completely stunted this time around the sun! Ugh! No idea what’s happening there, but the fruit trees all look pretty darn great so far. But the berries are my great love. ❤️ Berries are so easy to grow. You really do next to nothing except try to keep wildlife out. Having a freezer half filled with freshly picked berries is a fortunate thing! Our strawberry season is ending now, only getting a few now each day as they die back and the other berries say hello, but a second short season bumper crop should come back in maybe 4-6 weeks. I love them best of all, and will use your methods here. I.normally do a more sweetened buttermilk, sugar dusted scone type of shortcake, but your chiffon is how my mother made it. ❤️😊👍 I love them both. Enjoy those little treasures!
Bonjour Chef Jean-Pierre. Vous pourriez faire une recette de pavlova c’est relativement simple. Je ne rate pas une de vos recettes et pourtant je vis à Paris. Vous etes le meilleur ambassadeur de notre pays je dis bravo et merci.
I've been making your recipes for quite a while and want to relate my mom's shortcake that IMHO, beats them all, I never actually watched mom put together those biscuits but it only took her a few minutes to throw them together and being 5-6 inches across, when they came out of the oven, splitting them apart still warm, adding butter and the semi-soupy sweet strawberries that soaked them, and adding whipped cream were enough to make a whole meal. We didn't even stack the biscuits, just laid side by side to bit a wide bowl. It only happened a few times a year but good enough memory to pass along. The four simple ingredients, warm tender biscuits, butter, juicy berries and whipped cream are the perfect combination in my distant memory.
Good morning Chef and Jack. This looks amazing but I know it will taste great. I made your limoncello trifle many times and this dessert will be making a debut in my kitchen today as well! Another great video and keep them coming! I really do appreciate ALL your (and Jack) hard work. BTW, I bought your sunshine cuisine cookbook three months ago and lovin’ it! You are an amazing teacher!! THANK YOU so very much for helping me become a better cook and putting a smile on my face each day 🤗♥️. My family appreciate and love you too!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Learned lots of tricks today! Gelatin instead of pectin for the jam, using the can to push the shortcake out of the mold, and if you want, using condensed milk instead of sugar in your whipped cream. Great video!
I enjoy all of your video's, but I especially enjoy the video after the credits. Please keep this a regular part of the series. One day we're going to get to watch Jack eat lol
Chef I'm glad to see the update in your demeanor. I am glad God touched whatever situation was affecting your soul. This is a wonderful video, enjoy your day!
Chef! I don't eat sweets that often, but now I can't wait to make this! Limoncello is brilliant in strawberries. I can literally taste this right now. Perfect for the 4th of July! Thanks Chef!
I’m going to make these for dessert tomorrow. I’m also going to make your pork tenderloin and fondant potatoes with green beans and glazed carrots. Wish me luck chef. 🤞🤣👍
Hello Chef, I'm from Australia and I just wanted to tell you that I cooked your Tuscan chicken last night and it was a big hit at my house, everyone was raving about it..Thank you so much..Your a sweetheart..I'm going to make this or try at least making Strawberry short cakes..Bon Appetit..Thanks
Hi !! Chef Jean Happy Wednesday watching 👀 replay . The strawberry 🍓 short cakes looks Devine. I will like to make a orange 🍊 strawberry sauce . Chef everything you make is fabulous. The strawberry short cake looked so pretty I like how you put the powder sugar and the mint leaf 🍃. Thank you so much for sharing the strawberry 🍓 short cake recipe. Have a great night 🌙 💛💛💛💛💛💛❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙌🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Followed the recipe and instructions BUT made a delicious blueberry shortcake without the limoncello. I did use Florida natural lemonade to make the simple syrup instead of water. I also used a single spring form pan, as I didn't have the individual forms, delicious and presented well! I will try the strawberry shortcake next time with the limoncello! FYI, it's blueberry season here ...
Your finally did it! You've led me astray for the first time! 1:50 "Cook it for an hour and a half." GAAAAAA! I now have a puddle of black strawberry rubber in my pot.
Chef, thanks for the BONUS (unscheduled) video. Enjoy the 4th of July Holiday. I wet the knife for smoother cut on almost any cake. I have the berries from roadside market now need to get cake. Support your local farmers. Take Care
This is awesome- our Migros Gurmessa is offering a similar cake. Our favorite! Now I can make it myself in my old country. For people who don’t drink or little children with lemon or orange sirup instead of Limoncello or Grand Marnier.
Hi Chef Jean-Pierre! I like how you did the individual servings. The presentation is awesome! I've added it to my folder. Thank you so much for sharing! Hope you, Jack and family are having a safe and fun 4th of July!
My wife's favorite is a REAL strawberry shortcake. She does most of the baking while I do all of the cooking almost exclusively your recipes. Im going to surprise her tonight because🎉 41 years together and I still love cooking/ baking for her. Thanks, Chef!
I admire your division of labor in the kitchen
How was it

A Sunday video and one of my favorite deserts

I am going to go out today on a Sunday to my local farm and pick organic strawberry’s. Thank you for setting this up for today yea yeah yea yea yea
I had to think for a minute….”is it Thursday?”
Going strawberry picking on Monday, so this recipe is very appropriate.
Thanks Chef!
Dang! That looks wonderful!

I just finished a danish strawberry shortcake an hour ago, and then this pops up. A great video yet again!
Love from Denmark
Thank you 🙏
Denmark has the best strawberries!
@chefjeanpierre...-... This us not the real Chef, this is merely an imposter trying to scam us. Remember to look at the verification and username
I love your strawberry desserts 😍 your strawberry mousse barely lasted a day in my house 🍓
I always say the best food is very “low quality” - it never lasts for a significant amount of time. 😉
Yes! It’s that delicious! I can’t stop eating it so I’m trying to make it less often - but it’s not easy!
😊❤️👍
Five seconds in, I like the video so I gave it a thumb up. Chef, thanks for everything.
Oooo, I can picture the strawberry jam, fresh strawberries and whipped cream on waffles!
Hello there, friends! Happy fourth to Chef, Jack, and the whole CJP crew!
