Prof Dr Javed Iqbal is a surgeon with special interest in laparoscopic and cancer surgery. His professional qualifications are FCPS, FRCS, FACS, FICLS, MCPS-HPE.

The meta means beyond not separate as you explained in your video. Beyond means supra universe. For instance llike you are observing the universe from ouside. Conider it in context with

Sincerest thanks Dr Javed Iqbal for stating the facts on Metaverse and sharing your views about it. Coming from the same region as you, I can say Metaverse is definitely not the reality that we were primed for and it would be threatening to life as we know it. However, on the positive side, I see this only as a company reality at this stage rather than a global phenomenon right away. On the heavier side, to insulate humanity as the dangers pose themselves of a quick transformation, societies must stick to their roots stronger than ever regardless of the emergence of a new, tech world. Lastly, human beings haven't found an alternative to oxygen yet and I hope, for its own sake, doesn't go searching for one either. At the least, we can learn about the Metaverse and its people as a prelude to how the future will look for the human collective.
We must above this all not forget even for a while that we haven't come here in this world for ever!

I asked my son about this, he very well knows about it, I asked him what is it, he said ""a virtual reality"". I asked him about avatar, he said its very expensive, only rich people can afford it, i don't have that much money, That means its IN already. Very scary. I told him just remember where ever you go and whatever you do, Allah is watching. He said don't worry, I wont be a part of it. But its ok to use it. In Dubai they already started developing it. I am worried about the next generation. My grand kids are already very used to AI. The new generation thinks its part of life and when they grew up the metaverse will be part of their lives.

I had questions in mind before watching it. Well explained. Someone in my network was encouraging me to buy Crypto currency and all the crazy stuff about Metaverse. But I didn't take a single step towards it because somewhere in my instinct I had the same feeling which now have words to restrain others from it.

You are absolutely right about keeping children away from cyber world. I believe in being close to nature, my five year old granddaughter is growing vegetables with me. I am also concerned that if we don’t stay with modern technology especially at our age, we wouldn’t understand new world at all, like some of my friends don’t use social media or online services. Like if it’s going to be the “norms “ of the future world, shouldn’t we learn about it? It’s scary tho.
No matter what title they give it to this tool, it is "virtual reality" technology that they have been working on since last 30 years.

One of the best examples of understanding the concept of Metaverse in my opinion is the movie Ready Player One in which a dystopian future is depicted in where much of the population of earth invest a great deal of their time in virtual reality worlds to essentially escape from confronting actual reality, the creator of these popular virtual reality gaming world has long passed away in mysterious circumstances, a competition for ownership of the platform has got everyone seekingthree keystounlockan Easter Egg, these world building engines coupled with Quantum Computing technologies would be a true turning point for these types of technologies, the potential would be limitless, I believe, I wholeheartedly agree that the landscape of Metaverse is going to be ultimately harmful for us in the long-term, our definition of who we are as a species would be drastically disjointed...

My question to you is, who is behind metaverse? Who will have access to all this data? Is benefit of this technology more than the harm? Does it have elements that are haram in Islam (like making an avatar of yourself)? What is the impact of this technology on health? A Muslim will first have solid answers to these, and only then decide. We are not mindless people Alhamdulillah.

If the developed nations presently are progressing in virtual age with the help of Artificial Intelligence then, why should Pakistan remain conservative to keep begging from others??? Why should not we also develop and compete in the world????

I noticed that since 2/3 days my daughters were playing a game togather, where they were having there avatar and they put there name and play hide and seek and many more activities. Today I hid there devices and after watching your video i feel that game is form of metaverse

Everything done with a balance can provide beneficial. I think in coming years we should appreciate the younger generation to invest their efforts in metaverse and block chain. But you’re right staying connected with nature is important too. With a balance, an individual can lead a fantastic lifestyle.
Balance is the key. Why not open virtual Mosques in Meta Verse. But Dr. Saab's point is critical here, they will hack your mind / DNA without your knowing.
@@ahmad98991 I believe they are already doing that to a large extent. But sometimes, there’s nothing we can do about it. If we abstain from using internet products we’ll miss out majorly on employment and numerous other opportunities. Just like it seems ridiculous to leave internet in today’s time, in future to come, leaving metaverse would feel the same because major economic and socials activities would be totally dependent upon it, like in current time they’re dependent on the internet ! Hope you understand my point sir.
About the virtual mosque point, i’m sure it’ll become a part of metaverse as soon as muslims start contributing towards the idea of metaverse.

@@sardarkhalidmahmood4032 exactly!! I agree with you sardar sahab. During the british rule over india, the same mentality of ours led us to fall back in learning new language and skills. We have to adopt modern ways and excel in them to ensure prosperous future of our generations.
