What I find so appealing about prerendered backgrounds is the insane amount of details the developers can put into them. This video just makes me appreciate them even more. Great work 10/10.

I started the series with RE5/4, but after playing REmake, it instantly became one of, if not, my favorite resident evil game. From the characters and story (even tho if simple, it was very captivating trying to discover what happened in the mansion), the enemy variety and designs (chimeras are the most disturbing enemies in the franchise in terms of how they were made, my favorite) the way the weapons felt in your hands and the dismemberment, the eerie soundtrack and of course the place where the game happens, so many areas to explore filled with puzzles, world building and story telling I loved seeing your videos about the REmake bonus book

Omg. The amount of hidden stuff in classic games is shocking. It makes you appreciate the talented people behind its creation even more. I'm not gonna say modern RE engine games are easier to make but jesus The amount of scanned real life objects in these games is beyond anyone's comprehension. It's one of the reasons why i always felt classic games had a "real life" vibes to it even compared to new games. Lastly i really appreciate the huge work and effort you made to make this video and show us things we would never have seen in our lifetime without it. So thank you so much.

As someone native from Barcelona I discovered many references from my hometown in your video that I didn't saw it in all the years I have been playing (The Casa Milà and Batlló ones were pretty awesome). In the 11:18 minute BTW, I had saw in its day this inscription nad tried to more or less decipher it, but exceptuating the first line, the rest is hard to read. I could read just "[???]into de Barcelona de rendir solemne" and would say more or less "[???] from Barcelona to give solemn[ly]...". I think that it would be somewhat of a tribute from someone from Barcelona to something, maybe a saint, a king or similar?

that was an amazing job👍👏 i love the fact that residentevil 123 and cv and residentevil 1 remake came before more than 20 years, but people still find hidden things in these games:) you need to check: the clock tower 1 Sweet Home Video game alone in the dark 1992 Alcazar: The Forgotten Fortress because capcom seems to get a lot of ideas from these games for residentevil :)

@5:40, that looks more like Alias|Wavefront Maya, SOFTIMAGE|3D has a default perspective view that runs parallel to the Z axis, also, when opened, it displays the Quad View with the perspective and three orthographic views, same for XSI. Maya, instead, presents a 45° perspective view (like the one shown in the video), another giveaway is the green "persp" at the bottom of the viewport.

What I can't fully grasp is how you're making out the very BLURRY and tiny Japanese characters. 😯 On the inventory items, for example. To my understanding, even the AI upscaling can't really help with that.
Well for the Serum bottle, it helps to know Japanese and you can look for patterns. Like "si" would actually be the "shi" sound in English, so once I saw "sitteta" on the Serum bottle I knew it wasn't gibberish. Usually it starts from one word. And yeah as far as I know AI can't figure that stuff out, like in RE2 the HD upscale has the "tatsumi" Easter Egg wrong, which I was able to discern. On the Serum bottle again it looks like one word is "omine" with an i, but what appears to be an i is probably an artefact and it's actually "omone" And realizing that I had to change my translation from my previous video, something AI wouldn't do

@5:40, that looks more like Alias|Wavefront Maya, SOFTIMAGE|3D has a default perspective view that runs parallel to the Z axis, also, when opened, it displays the Quad View with the perspective and three orthographic views, same for XSI. Maya, instead, presents a 45° perspective view (like the one shown in the video), another giveaway is the green "persp" at the bottom of the viewport.

Yeah, I can see the red circles on the cheek beneath the round black eye, the black tip on the pointy ear just like Pikachu. It's not wearing the white gloves of Super Sonic
Capcoms lawyers would be fine with Pikachu appearing, the game was made as a Gamecube exclusive, its not like Nintendo will complain about something that is actually a compliment to to one of their creations
Well Pikachu is owned by Creatures Inc and Game Freak so they'd need permission from those companies, too

I didn't know about Slamfest but I thought the pic was taken in a wrestling ring, too, and it makes perfect sense if it was a Smash Bros promotion. What I can't fully grasp is how you're making out the very BLURRY and tiny Japanese characters. 😯 On the inventory items, for example. To my understanding, even the AI upscaling can't really help with that.
Well for the Serum bottle, it helps to know Japanese and you can look for patterns. Like "si" would actually be the "shi" sound in English, so once I saw "sitteta" on the Serum bottle I knew it wasn't gibberish. Usually it starts from one word.
And yeah as far as I know AI can't figure that stuff out, like in RE2 the HD upscale has the "tatsumi" Easter Egg wrong, which I was able to discern.
On the Serum bottle again it looks like one word is "omine" with an i, but what appears to be an i is probably an artefact and it's actually "omone"
And realizing that I had to change my translation from my previous video, something AI wouldn't do
