Trauma doss make you more prepared. I was once a victim of a house invasion by armed men and now I'm a lot more cautious. I always make sure all doors are securely closed and I'm a lot more aware and concern with safety.

It can. I've experienced both ways. It depends. The only way we grow is through pain, stress, and discomfort; you cannot grow in a comfortable environment, and you cannot solve your problems/issues by running/hiding from them. I've lived in Hell, and I've been broken so many times, and I've been hopeless and suicidal and filled with self-loathing cuz I was trained to think I was the problem. When I finally clawed my way out, I was much stronger and tougher and wiser. It's always a choice; in the end, no one's gonna save you but you. BUT, yeah, if you can't get out, if you're beaten down and abused your whole life, if you are used to it and accept it and even begin to believe you deserve it, yeah--you can get fucking stuck, and it sucks, and it's a downward reinforcing cycle. I'm big into psychology and disorders and abuse and mental health, as well as extreme physical fitness and mental toughness and "life resiliency." Like most things, it's not purely one or the other, but a bit of both, situation dependent.
I played the demo 2 days ago. We died a lot of times and then suddenly the church bells start and the chainsaw guy never got to the house or near us. We even got the shotgun lol

I just started the demo today and it's going about as well as I expected. Even with free control of the camera and better controls in general, I'm still having a rough time. I'm at the start of the village, but I have just 5 bullets and I broke my knife already... I'm still bad at aiming in Resi games no matter when they were made. I'm not going to last long when the proper fighting begins given I've no knife to fend off grab attacks. Not to mention 5 bullets is about as useful as a fart in a hurricane. I'm very glad I haven't seen the offer for the Mad Chainsaw Mode, because given how much trouble the standard difficulty is giving me I don't fancy my chances on a higher difficulty. Can't save in regular difficulty at all either. Mike with the "shit out of luck" remark really got me laughing. I will say that I do like what little I've played of the demo more than what I've played of the original (roughly the same amount, to be honest).
@@scottneil1187 I did change the layout on the PS5 slightly, because I preferred a different option for running and also for crouching and directing an NPC. I did better on my most recent run since I opted to do what Andy did and not try to kill every single thing on the way to the village. Leon's movements are closer to Arthur's in RDR2, with that delay in stopping and such. It's a bit annoying.
The reason for codenames for stuff like the presidents daughter is to make for quick and unambiguous communication in an emergency rather than secrecy.

It's also when lots of stuff is happening all at once people don't speak straight into their microphones and enunciate with care, not to mention back when lots of these procedures where created there weren't any digital radios so sound quality wasn't always great, so codewords are used to avoid confusion.
So of all the people i've seen play this demo Andy both died the most but also seemed to know how to play better than a lot of the others, or atleast was remembering to do different things that others didn't come across or think to do. This is also the first time i saw the Crazy Chainsaw Mode 😄👍

When I carried a pistol I normally had about 54 rounds of ammo between my pocket and the gun. If I was government funded and thought I was going to go rescue the daughter of the president I would likely need a second car just to carry the equipment. A .45 with ten rounds seems a bit optimistic.

As someone with a significant amount of trauma. No, it doesn't prepare you for more. In fact I would say that if the new trauma was close enough to the original it would likely make it worse.
