Did not go in the dark.. but did South Kaibab down in snow and ice (crampons on boots).. and Bright Angel back from the bottom the next morning. Pretty brave to hike that top part in the dark I think. Got warmer the deeper you went, this trail being a mountain in reverse. You start at the top of the mountain, so to speak.
@@akfasso I got lucky.. just showed up there and asked about space at the Phantom Ranch (down the bottom) and, as usual, all the campsites and cabins were taken, but they had 2 bunks in a shared bunkroom. The steak dinner at the bottom was very welcome... and from your love of videography.. schedule for a full moon night down there or near it.. the moonlight on the walls of the canyon above Phantom Ranch was literally awe-inspiring.. aka awesome.

I hope we can make it one of these days, Thank you 👍🙏💖
Thanks for watching, Doc!
Very cool. 🙂👍
Thanks! It was beautiful.
Would you hike in the dark into the Grand Canyon? :) I have to say… it might be my new favorite way to hike!

I’m hoping to do the full Grand Canyon hike someday! It’s definitely on my bucket list. :)
