I suggest you do this - feed Sovana a diet with no food with little energy, perhaps water only. Then give her to Bonita the next morning. She will not be able to run away so strongly. Bonita will be able to hold her down. Sometimes a little trauma can be illuminating

You literally need an "escape" vehicle. Have one of your buddies or a VO sit waiting on a motorbike, and when Bonita grabs her, jump on the back and ESCAPE!

Blue Ocean by who? For what? I am asking a serious question, not being sarcastic. I’ve just been writing emails to the WLA (global and Cambodian offices), PETA, and reported the idea to RUclips. Can you please let me know who else I can report this to. I can’t see any authorities in Cambodia who give a crap about monkey abuse since it is so rampant. Our best goal would be to get videos where people abuse or interfere with wild animals demonetised. If the money dries up for them if they film in ways where they are interfering, then maybe they will learn to film more documentary style where they film from a distance and don’t interfere. Unless the money dries up, they will keep doing it. Please let me know if you have any other ideas. Thanks 👍🏼

Sovanna doesn't even know that she is a monkey! She believes she is Mr Lin's baby?She looks at this troop as if they are scary monsters..shes clearly traumatized each time Bonita grabs her. I know she belongs with her own, and Bonita would love taking care of her..like she was her own. I just dont think Sovanna will ever except her or troop. What is being done is not working. If I had the resources I'd rehab her myself. She needs to be in an enclosure near other monkeys in enclosures and slowly introduce them. THere are other pets that have recently been dropped off. Those monkeys should be in enclosures near Sovanna where they can touch each other through the enclosures with no human contact either except for feeding. Macaques being highly social animals ........... eventually Sovanna would want to interact with the other ones.

Either let her stay off on her own around people where she's comfortable and the other monkeys are nearby so she can socialize if she chooses to, or just go all the way with it and keep her as a pet, or leave her to fend for herself near the other monkeys where if she survives she might come to be accepted as a low ranking female on the periphery of the troop.
