I think I’m gonna start back doing my own pedis again. I started doing my own press ons a few years back and literally a couple weeks ago, I developed onycholysis. 😫Once my nails grow back to normal, I think Ima start wearing them short with gel/ dip. I miss doing my nails. They were literally one of my fav hobbies 😢
I went in so hard with that cheese grater a couple times, heels was on fire for like a week b4 the pain went away...I still use it but I am vety vety careful now. Then I go over it with the one you had to smooth it down. Thanks for the advice & sharing your self care. I love when you post.
I too have switched to "press on" nails with glue I've not yet tried doing my own gel nails but it's on my to try list but I've saved so much money every time I swiped my card 75 dollars or more for nails that were meh or not exactly what I wanted I'm like I might as well try press ons that will be exact style I want and I can pay 8 to 15 dollars for store bought nails that are pretty good quality 😅I have nothing to prove by continuing to go the nail salon and still get plenty of compliments on my nails

Giiiirl I was struggling forever. If you can get some Terbafine that helped a ton. Doing my own nails and using Imperial Nail Mycosis from Amazon helped a lot also using mostly white socks, barefoot as much as possible and spraying shoes with a disinfectant
