    Hey bro, hope all is well. I bought a CTS KO4 turbo and got rs4 injectors for free. Do you think I should run the S3 or RS4 injectors if I run E40? The only thing is I’m planning to use the GIAC k04 race tune and will try to figure out a way to manually adjust fueling to run e40

    • @bike23august
      @bike23august  Год назад +1

      You can only run what the tuner specifies

    • @bike23august
      @bike23august  Год назад +2

      My advise is find a tuner that can map e40 on rs4 injectors and get a custom tune ( rs4 flow more fuel at a higher pressure then s3 inj)

    • @ChidiOable
      @ChidiOable Год назад

      @@bike23august okay, I think I need to get the S3 injectors then and then maybe I can use a higher bar PRV so I can add more E85, I’m hoping to run E30 - E40 so I can the fuel to 100 octane and basically drive with the race mode tune which adds about 30hp and torque but with e85 should add a bit more.

    How much of a horsepower boost do you think the k04 added compared to your k03 turbo, just that change alone? I want to upgrade mine but just trying to figure out if it’s really worth the cost.
    Right now I’m GIAC stage 2+, I’m gonna get s3 injectors and run e30 - e40 so I can run my car in race mode all the time.. I think it’s close to 300 - 310 crank Hp in this mode. I have a HFC already.
    Hey one change that improved the joy of driving my car so much is a sprint booster. It helps it feel so much more alive.. highly recommend it for you, it’s the best upgrade I made outside of tuning, even a better upgrade then the HFC

    • @bike23august
      @bike23august  Год назад +3

      I dont think is worth it for you... it is worth it if you are stock but from stage 2+ to k04 you get alot more power but also the cost haha. I have a stage 2 car and is so slow compqred to the feel of the k04.. even if its a 40hp differece but the cost is huge..

    • @ChidiOable
      @ChidiOable Год назад

      @@bike23august yeah, that’s been my dilemma, because stage 2+ on e30 - e40 in race mode is basically close to same power as K04 non race mode. But then I think, imagine K04 with E30 - E40 in race mode. I think it will be about 360 - 370 crank horsepower but I’m not sure if the s3 injectors can really support the needed flow. So I just bounce back and forth on these ideas 😂

    • @bike23august
      @bike23august  Год назад +1

      @@ChidiOable yeah with a good tune k04 on pump fuel makes 380hp (crank) but there is the dilema there aren't good tunes for b7 that make that power.... and also i dont think you can make more then 300hp (crank) on k03 even with e85... but numbers dont matter. Its all about the feeling...

    • @ChidiOable
      @ChidiOable Год назад +1

    Also the GFB+ diverter valve made a huge increase in torque and overall drivability. Especially low end torque and flattened the torque curve. Turbo is spoiling already at 1700 rpm’s and max boost right at 3000 rpm’s. This is partly due to HFC but GB+ diverted valve helps a lot too. It really helps to hold the boost so it makes the torque curve flat and stays same torque feeling from about 2000 - 5000rpms and pulls till redline with the HFC but torque drops off around 5000 rpm’s

    I installed my CTS K04 but mounting the new turbo was really hard with getting it to seat correctly and I think I have an exhaust leak from the exhaust outlets going to the manifold. I did use a new gasket. Any advice on how to get the replacement turbo to seat correctly on the rails before tightening it down?

    • @bike23august
      @bike23august  Год назад +1

      Normally its pretty straight forward. Just need to angle it and put it in the bottom brackets then you mount the top bolts. Make sure it's in the bottom bracket properly

    • @ChidiOable
      @ChidiOable Год назад

      @@bike23august I did that but maybe there was a defect with the manifold because it was too tight of a fit so I had to loosen the bottom brackets and pull them out partially to get it to slide into the bottom brackets but the problem is when you go to tighten the bottom brackets again then there’s a few bolts where there’s no way to get to them, so I had to tighten them the best i possibly could but maybe it was not tight enough, I think I found a way to fix this though. I can sand down the manifold slightly so it will slide in correctly. Did you have to loosen the brackets to get it to set on them or you left them fully tight and was still able to seat your turbo?

    • @bike23august
      @bike23august  Год назад

      @@ChidiOable that doesnt sound normal. I think you should remove it and reinstall.
      The bottom brakets needs to be tight before you put the manifold in. Dont sand the manifold
