Natalie Johnston yeah but not in the same way. Manson is poking at christianity... christianity lost alot of it's popularity an stranglehold over america compared to those times I think. I can't say for sure because I was in highschool back in the late 90's early 2000's and didn't follow politics.
I'm convinced that today's PC-Culture is a direct backlash to Gen X's envelop-pushing.. It went from, "I pretend not to care, nothing offends me!" to "I pretend to care, everything offends me!"
not in russia, you forgot that not all countries are america - in russia almost everyone is christian and i personally know people who got sentenced there for blasphemy
Marilyn you changed my life this last year. I was in a rut and then I found you, your music and your message. You've inspired me above all others and will forever. My dream is to one day meet you. You've inspired millions to be who they are and not conform to being nothing. You've burst millions out of their shells. Thank you and I hope you never stop! Forty years and the Antichrist/Anti-Music God is still going strong! Happy Birthday!!! :)
+ScoffSlaphead72 2:54 - 3:05 is even funnier. Manson and Ginger Fish are the only ones making any sounds, yet the rest of the band keeps wailing away at their instruments.
I LOVE this track! It pretty much sums up the TV mentality (let alone Celebrity Deathmatch) and was a nice fit for the show. And THIS from a man who does NOT listen to Marilyn Manson...
yeah ill check into that sometime.... i liked him better when he was around that era 92-97 then when the whole band decided to dress like drag queens in 98....... man the dope show video maes me sick, not just for the fact he tried to make himself look like a woman..but what happened to all the dark bible ripping manson? ya know? they look like fools in that video all these flashy colors. it was ridiculous.how do you change your image so drastically... its stupid.. i find anyways..antichrist superstar and pportrait are my favs...smells liike children seemed to be something they had to put out to finalizea deal or something, loved there look then but that albums a bunch of remixes, i used to be the biggeest manson fan.... i did a few tutorials on bass and guitar for there songs.
***** You know every album he released was a different story. He goes back to darkness in Holy wood. Mechanical Animals was one of his best records. It's called shock rock for a reason.
(from my old comment) I love how people think that Marilyn Manson is a bad influence to kids YET teenagers getting pregnant before they're 18, isn't looked at being a bad influence to kids.... WHERES THE FUCKING LOGIC?!
@Rocksie My mum actually did watch celebrity death match back in the 90s when she was a teenager. I know that it was a good episode, and she may have seen it herself.
@slothbp Now that you mentioned it....now i know why i liked this song, i never listened to Manson much, but this song always distracted me and now i know its do to being a big Ministry fan =)
I would have to say this is my favorite MM song, other than that besides The Nobodies, Into the Fire, Arma...geddon, Sweet Dreams, & disassociative, which I think are some of the finest songs that music has to offer. From metal.
@negativeoctober Wasn't that just a compilation disc? But anyway thanks for telling me! I thought it was only on the Celebrity Deathmatch Soundtrack. XD Definitely one of my favs as well.
i always thought this song should go in between irresponsible hate anthem an the beautiful people. fits the first half of the record. same theme. same sound. same idea. also if u feverishly review anti-christ superstar and what it is and means, this song 100% fits. the first half of the record is just what it says. "irresponsible hate". coping with the world the dirty human way. but it starts to show the idea that you're starting to see things for what they really are. and this song definitely hits that mark...before your wings start hurting your back and the angels spit blood at ur feet..(cryptorchid)
i mean as a band they never forayed far out of what brought them success and im pretty sure that's why they went stale... you can only use the same drop D power chords so many times (which is actually A LOT but still). technically all their songs sound the same. just in the context of anti-christ superstar this song makes sense in the beginning. still human. still mad. viewing a world you can't save or destroy.
The CDM video of this song. Pure awesomeness. And I remembered what happened after he performed this song: Ricky Martin challenges him to a grudge match and loses....cause Manson is the CDM champ!
Jako TC Nah, the exact point at which he officially sold out is when he did Tainted Love. Still, Holywood is one of the greatest rock albums ever made IMO.
***** That's what I meant to say, I forgot about Holywood, its not a bad album, but i wouldn't call it great. But the clip released after that was tainted love, and that fucked it all up. After that i was done with his music.
@BlacktoryProject Interesting that you bring this up. This song is a b-side from Antichrist Superstar, which is part of a trilogy that MM had written. Believe it or not, Holywood starts it, Mechanical Animals is the middle of the story, and Antichrist Superstar ends it. Some of the b-sides to each of these projects may still fit in the story plot.
I love this video. Best part starts at the 2;18 point. Manson rocks! Glad youtube has this video up, I first seen this years ago off of Kazaa. Anyone hear his new song, "We're From America?"
that's such a coincidence to see this comment. i was just now listening to ministry. i compare this to ministry mainly because they both are some of my personal favorite metal acts ever. but i think they're both very different bands.
I just had a killer concert idea. We have Marilyn Manson sing alongside...Voltaire. Two of music's top Goth oriented artists in one place. Can you imagine the songs they would make
As I said I like this one, I'm not really a big MM fan when it comes to music but I like the guy very much. He just expressed his views whithout caring what others could think and always did it in a very inteligent way.
I love that every time i come on youtube to watch a Manson video there is always a fight or bitch about someone's faith...It's rock and roll folk's, GET OVER IT!!
nosferatusbutt Music is MUSIC no political or religious agenda except for when it shows what happens. Queensryche’s “Revolution Calling” and Megadeth’s “Symphony Of Destruction” are good examples. even Iron Maiden’s “Holy Smoke”
This song is dope! I love it. Should I send this to my mum, like the good daughter of her I am? Well, yes, because she used to watch celebrity death match in her teenage years back in the 1990s, and she kinda remembers this episode :D
After all these years it still ticks me off that they did such an accurate job on everything from Manson's outfit to the way Pogo moves, but they didn't have Ginger in it. That poor guy just gets no love...
thats so funny cause ive been fully obsessed with manson for the last few months now and ive heard every single one of songs except this one till now and yea its a fucking awesome song
The breakdown that starts at 2:14 is actually pretty heavy, especially for Manson. I dig the double bass drum that you don't hear much in his music
Does anyone remember backin the 90's when the lyrics "kill your' god" would have been controversial? LOL
+IHVHandmind they'd be even more controversial today, people get offended so much now lol
Natalie Johnston yeah but not in the same way. Manson is poking at christianity... christianity lost alot of it's popularity an stranglehold over america compared to those times I think. I can't say for sure because I was in highschool back in the late 90's early 2000's and didn't follow politics.
+IHVHandmind yeah that's true lol
I'm convinced that today's PC-Culture is a direct backlash to Gen X's envelop-pushing.. It went from, "I pretend not to care, nothing offends me!" to "I pretend to care, everything offends me!"
not in russia, you forgot that not all countries are america - in russia almost everyone is christian and i personally know people who got sentenced there for blasphemy
They really got his movements spot on his dancing and how he holds his arms out and all. Pretty cool.
Ahhh... Really miss this era of MM :/
Marilyn Manson: The final boss of Celebrity Deathmatch.
Charles Manson, Ricky Martin, Tom Petit 🎉🎉🎉🎉
OMG, how can you not love this song?
You could be deaf
First track I ever heard from him, coloured all my days since. Bless you sir.
This is probably my favorite Marilyn Manson song. The chorus is just beautiful
I just realized that
Astonishing
Panorama of the
Endtimes
spells out A.P.E.
.... Was I too late? haha
*Mind blown*
*mind also blown* I thought I was meant to be the one with stoner logic?:P
You're not supposed to include words like,"of" and "the" when using an acronym.
Oh Cheesus kill me
hello.
It's been 15 years, have you met him?
The figures here look like the album cover of portrait of an American family
This song was used to promote Celebrity Deathmatch, a show on MTV where Claymation lookalikes of celebrities fought each other.
0:40 - John 5 is great!
yeh i know playing without fingers
+ScoffSlaphead72 2:54 - 3:05 is even funnier. Manson and Ginger Fish are the only ones making any sounds, yet the rest of the band keeps wailing away at their instruments.
Miz Behaven Cool! He`s good guitarist. I want to meet him to.
Booga booga booga booga booga booga
Back when music was awesome
Brian music is still awesome today, just not the mainstream shit that my generation like so much.
This video is amazing! How they imitated every bit of Marilyn's Movments and the band through claymation! Simply amazing! Must of took a looong time!
i miss the old times when metal was normal on the radio, and shows where still good.
when tv where not crazy yet
I LOVE this track! It pretty much sums up the TV mentality (let alone Celebrity Deathmatch) and was a nice fit for the show.
And THIS from a man who does NOT listen to Marilyn Manson...
Celebrity Deathmatch Revival confirmed for 2015-2016!
MeowthRocket where it at u liar
this is so AMAZING. the best song EVER. goosebumps!
AWESOME!! Never even heard this before!! :O
I'm not a huge Manson fan, but I love this song; it's one of his most aggressive and I have it on my iPod for when I'm working out.
this is a cool song, its in traditional manson style, it sounds like some of his earlier stuff, cept the chorus is pretty cool
It was originally a demo for Antichrist, so your right. Sweet song.
*****
oh cool! antichrist is a killer album. i said i want cryptorchid played at my funeral when i die.... something about that song, so haunting
Nice! Yeah the antichrist demos are on the web/youtube if your interested in hearing. Theyre pretty cool.
yeah ill check into that sometime.... i liked him better when he was around that era 92-97 then when the whole band decided to dress like drag queens in 98....... man the dope show video maes me sick, not just for the fact he tried to make himself look like a woman..but what happened to all the dark bible ripping manson? ya know? they look like fools in that video all these flashy colors. it was ridiculous.how do you change your image so drastically... its stupid.. i find anyways..antichrist superstar and pportrait are my favs...smells liike children seemed to be something they had to put out to finalizea deal or something, loved there look then but that albums a bunch of remixes, i used to be the biggeest manson fan.... i did a few tutorials on bass and guitar for there songs.
***** You know every album he released was a different story. He goes back to darkness in Holy wood. Mechanical Animals was one of his best records. It's called shock rock for a reason.
This is a beautiful song and video. Love you Brian!!
This song reminds me of NIN's "Wish"
Guess who produced this
AnnKorr not Reznor
Mr Superstar XV - it was recorded during the Antichrist Superstar sessions
AnnKorr but that was a demo that differs significantly from this one
Love the outfit ☺
(from my old comment) I love how people think that Marilyn Manson is a bad influence to kids YET teenagers getting pregnant before they're 18, isn't looked at being a bad influence to kids.... WHERES THE FUCKING LOGIC?!
I absolutely LOVE this animation! This is amazing work. Thank you for posting this.
I love how they got John5 to shake his head X) :40
Lmao, me too. Seems like that rings a bell, since it brought up the smh term 😂😅
This has been my favorite song for years! Amazing every time I listen to it!! :)
hahahah I miss Celebrity Death Match. this was a good episode
Rocksie Me too, wish MTV bring it back.
It is coming back summer 2016
shadowprince121 mtv didnt pick up the pitch unfortunately
I used to watch that in the 90s
@Rocksie My mum actually did watch celebrity death match back in the 90s when she was a teenager. I know that it was a good episode, and she may have seen it herself.
@slothbp Now that you mentioned it....now i know why i liked this song, i never listened to Manson much, but this song always distracted me and now i know its do to being a big Ministry fan =)
I've never seen this before. I feel so young lol I wish I was around when MTV was good
Meredith Melton Saw it in December 2019. I actually loved it, and yes, I did know it was celeb death match :3
I never truly appreciated this some until now thank you
Плотный звук,мои уши довольны
very cool video
2016 election got me like "kill your tv"
John John ikr this (s)election lasted forever, more than 1 year receiving this propaganda almost 24/7
I'm so so glad this is the default video for this song.

fucking bad ass jam!
i remember seeing this on mtv when i was a kid :D his music changed my life
great song (one of the best of him) funny video
I would have to say this is my favorite MM song, other than that besides The Nobodies, Into the Fire, Arma...geddon, Sweet Dreams, & disassociative, which I think are some of the finest songs that music has to offer. From metal.
why this video is not consider like the official video?
@negativeoctober Wasn't that just a compilation disc? But anyway thanks for telling me! I thought it was only on the Celebrity Deathmatch Soundtrack. XD Definitely one of my favs as well.
cool
That was amazing!!! I love this video, and I loved Celebrity Deathmatch!
Grezzo Due.
@Freshadeneu
Melvin's Houdini? Shit, i haven't heard that in forever. Thanks, now i got to go dig through my old cds so i can listen to it again.
Celebrity deathmatch rocks!
This looks awesome ^^ and with the music too is great :P
LOL. This is awesome.
+Mei Misaki It's weird, you, saying that...
psicoRG Marilyn Manson is my father... :3
That explains it all xD
Wonderful song and awesome video,sick,sick,sick...
i always thought this song should go in between irresponsible hate anthem an the beautiful people.
fits the first half of the record. same theme. same sound. same idea.
also if u feverishly review anti-christ superstar and what it is and means, this song 100% fits.
the first half of the record is just what it says. "irresponsible hate". coping with the world the dirty human way. but it starts to show the idea that you're starting to see things for what they really are.
and this song definitely hits that mark...before your wings start hurting your back and the angels spit blood at ur feet..(cryptorchid)
Quixo667 interesting how you see it that way. I kinda thought it had the same sound as Overneath the Path of Misery haha
i mean as a band they never forayed far out of what brought them success and im pretty sure that's why they went stale... you can only use the same drop D power chords so many times (which is actually A LOT but still). technically all their songs sound the same.
just in the context of anti-christ superstar this song makes sense in the beginning. still human. still mad. viewing a world you can't save or destroy.
"Hallelujah Motherfuckers"
-MM
The CDM video of this song. Pure awesomeness. And I remembered what happened after he performed this song: Ricky Martin challenges him to a grudge match and loses....cause Manson is the CDM champ!
VIOLENCE FOR THE PEOPLE!
That's one of the best explanations Iv ever heard, and you're absolutely right.
2:31 Where did he go? xD
Got a modeling career
+Coma White He most likely got a career in modelling or being a male stripper.
Damn, I haven't seen this in YEARS! I remember seeing this when it first appeared. Hell yes. Thanks for uploading. :)
celebrity death match
nice clips of the MM carton..great rockenroll song of them
Back when he was good. Ah, those were the days...
+Omicron9999 This is the song after which it all went to shit!
What do you mean? Why doný you like him anymore? :(
Mei Misaki He sold out and all his music after Tainted Love is lame. Easy enough.
This video on MTV was how I discovered this legend. Also Celebrity Deathmatch was awesome.
HorusHeresy1928 Nice. My mum was already a fan of Manson when she watched it. I am her child, and I love Marilyn as much as she does :)
One of my favourite songs from Marilyn Manson. ;-)
that's such a coincidence to see this comment. i was just now listening to ministry. i compare this to ministry mainly because they both are some of my personal favorite metal acts ever. but i think they're both very different bands.
Never before has claymation looked so badass!
I just had a killer concert idea. We have Marilyn Manson sing alongside...Voltaire.
Two of music's top Goth oriented artists in one place. Can you imagine the songs they would make
I watched this video dozens of times... RUclips needs a repeat button!
As I said I like this one, I'm not really a big MM fan when it comes to music but I like the guy very much. He just expressed his views whithout caring what others could think and always did it in a very inteligent way.
This song is so underrated love marilyn manson
Great song, great video.

I Luv U Marilyn manson U will always be my favorite, favorite Rockstar!!!!🤘❤🎤🎶
I love that every time i come on youtube to watch a Manson video there is always a fight or bitch about someone's faith...It's rock and roll folk's, GET OVER IT!!
nosferatusbutt Music is MUSIC

Queensryche’s “Revolution Calling” and Megadeth’s “Symphony Of Destruction” are good examples.
even Iron Maiden’s “Holy Smoke”
i love the guitar in this song!
i've been blasting this song all night :P
This song still gets me going
This song is EPIC !!!!!!!!!
Best workout music !
This song is dope! I love it. Should I send this to my mum, like the good daughter of her I am? Well, yes, because she used to watch celebrity death match in her teenage years back in the 1990s, and she kinda remembers this episode :D
This is my all-time favourite song by Manson.
I love this song. It reminds me alot of Ministry.
I used to LOVE this show, and i loved that manson got involved with it, sick vid!
this song its great!!!!! love you manson.......
this is one of my favourite songs of his!
After all these years it still ticks me off that they did such an accurate job on everything from Manson's outfit to the way Pogo moves, but they didn't have Ginger in it. That poor guy just gets no love...
It's a single, plus this wouldn't have really gone along with the Omega theme because the songs are Glam rock and this is full on WOW!!!
This stuff never gets old.
I remember this video coming out and two things i was nuts about at the time were Marilyn Manson and CDM!! Perfect....
yo me acuerdo de un primo ke kiero muchooooooo !!! adoro esta cancion jejeje
this song first got me into metal when i was 7
I begin my runs with this song!
i like all MM music like i seriously dont even know whos in the band right now except twiggy because they've changed soo dang much
nice guitar to a nice song
thats so funny cause ive been fully obsessed with manson for the last few months now and ive heard every single one of songs except this one till now and yea its a fucking awesome song
Time: 12:00 am, December 21, 2012, and I found the perfect song :)
This song is super old
I remember watching this show as a kid
