I’m comfortable being a sales coach but I will leverage your #MarkWayshak videos to train my newcomers. And no, for those reading this comment, I’ve never known of Mark until today. I’ve been in sales for 21 years, honing my phone and field skills.     Thanks Marc, I have got feedback to improve my sales calls for tomorrow. I have never really tried to engage a prospect by asking about their challenges. Usually I am focused on pitching about my service and seeing if they are interested.

    Love the listing off 3 challenges you're seeing briefly followed by getting them engaged seeing if it relates to them and their business. At this point, it was quick and easy to disqualify or qualify them.

    if they pick the phone up, "it isn't a bad time" ..? but i get why ppl use that line, not 100% convinced it needs to be used.

    Many times it has to do with the prospects having their mind set to shut down a sales call right off the bat.

      Correct. Pure knee jerk reaction. You could be offering something that will help them but most folk don't want to know, for many reasons.

    Did I catch you in the middle of something. Can back fire as it gives the prospect a door out by saying yes I’m in the middle of a meeting blah blah. When we all know you don’t answer calls in the middle of a meeting.
